  1. I know Plies and he's a good guy and great father of 3.  He doesn't live in Wesley Chapel, he lives in New Tampa.  Whatever you google about him is a character he plays on stage/screen.  He's a quiet and respectful person in real-life.  His kids are unbelievably model children and his son is off the charts athletically.  All I can say is, if he's around the program, it's a GREAT thing.  He's got serious street cred and the way he conducts himself in real-life would be a great thing for our players to get to see and emulate.

  2. Went to Wharton's spring game last night and their RT looks like a beast.   He seems to be 6-3"-6-4" and 250-260 with great technique.  Btw, he's a sophomore.  When run blocking, he took his man where he wanted to like the DE was a sled and his pass blocking footwork looked very good.  Get on him now USF!

Sour Grapes for the AU Tiger fans, you know "we didn't want him anyway"

Not the least bit disappointed in loosing Kareem Canty to South Florida.

@MHand_AU I'm happy with Tahj. We can find somebody in the 2015 class who would help us more than canty in the long term. Too many turnovers

@MHand_AU plus his recruitment was shady

Btw to any Auburn Tiger fan that ventures over here and I know you will, this won't be the only player that Auburn loses to USF either. Also can you imagine an Auburn Tiger fan talking about shady recruiting by another school? Really???

Can anyone explain to me how the recruitment was shady? Maybe just sour grapes?

Hell yeah it was shady!  Bruce Pearl was involved, that's all you need to know.

  4. Actually, his 3FG% is so bad and he took so many, that it throws is overall FG% off more that usual.  Back out his 3's and he shot 53% from the field.  What's odd is his FT% is pretty decent to shoot so poorly from 3.  My guess is, he's a pretty decent 3-point shooter in practice and that's why he's allow to shoot that many in games, but his shot selection is probably lacking.

  5. My bad.  I realized I was counting Bodway after I posted, but was too lazy to edit it at the time.  To be clear, scholarships are given on an annual basis.  There is no 4-year athletic scholarship.  The school either renews your scholarship annually or not.  Jupiter, his end of the "contract" is that he participates with the team each year he is given a scholarship.

Obviously, the intent is to have an athlete in your program for 4 years, but if they fail to perform up to the required standards, it's fairly common that they are asked to look for another place to continue their athletic career.  Who's to say that Coach O didn't have that talk with some of the guys that are transferring this year.  Calipari/O got to Kentucky and told 7 returning players on that team that they were free to stay at UK, but they would never see the floor if they did.  Six transferred.

  6. I think it's a bit of a moot point because there's no need for his scholarship right now.  So far, we've only got 11 scholarship players for next year including the 4 current signees/commits.  I doubt Coach O will use his limit.  Although Omegbehin has 2 years of eligibility left, next year will be his 4th year at USF.  We've more than held up to our end of the bargain.

Btw, kids have to hold up to their end of the bargain too.  I'm not saying Jordan hasn't, but kids transfer all the time because they find out they can't play at the level they thought they could.  If he was told to pack his bags tomorrow, it wouldn't affect recruiting much, if at all.
