  1. My parents house.  Cheap, easy, and traditional puerto rican food before and after, CON MOJITOS!  ;) :icon_drink:

But seriously for you out of towners, I recommend staying in the Brickell area or anywhere near the airport.  The stadium is very close to the Airport and 836.

You can ALSO take the MetroRail to the Stadium and get off at the UM-Jackson Medical Center stop and walk. (like 0.5mile walk)

This is a great option for those of you who want to get annihilated drunk before and after the game but might not have a DD. lol

The Lowes Hotel on South Beach will be fun...but everything around there is RIDICULOUSLY overpriced.  lol But beautiful.

I'll post some fav's for those of you looking for good food and things to do in a bit.

    Cheers!

Great tip. Didn't realize that was an option. Thanks!

  2. great location, and hotel. Good choice. You can get around downtown really easily with the metro mover (it's free).

Both teams are staying at busy places. I hope the teams get some rest, or we may be watching zombies. I wouldn't want to be one of the coaches trying to babysit these guys. Clubs, girls, beaches, girls, and so much more.

It seemed fairly central and multiple people recommended the Brickell area for food, fun and safety. Last time I was in Miami (20+ years) it was a gamble for finding a good area.

On another note, didn't we have an issue with players over indulging in local festivities and being a bit "tired" for the game at the 2007 Sun Bowl?  Hope Taggart and crew have instilled some discipline in these guys.

  3. Really love cross promotions like this

They should all make it a unified Tampa Bay community: have Lightning on USF events, more USF Rays / Rowdies cross-promotion

I believe that the University is doing a much better job now. Doesn't USF send Rocky out to the Rays games?

Used to seem that if you weren't on Fowler you'd never know USF was in this town. Well that or staring at that billboard on malfunction junction. ;)

My girlfriend's son thought the USF stuff on those wrap around displays and the Bulls Unite logo on the boards was pretty cool.

  4. The thing that Harlan needs and more than likely tell CWT is that he needs to give more power to the OC. It has been said that the new OC didnt have much say in the play calling. Why does USF even need an OC when CWT takes over. What good OC would want to come to USF and be handcuffed? Harlan will have to straigten this out with CWT.

    This.

Why was our OC being MADE to sit in the box during arguably the most important game of the year. I think our young coach might have a bit of an ego problem.

  5. Let him go to the NFL if he wants.. It will be less awkward when we have to switch to Flowers next year.

If Flowers doesn't make significant strides, I don't see that happening at all. Remember, Flowers was recruited at all these big schools for skill positions, not QB. Flowers is still very raw as a QB.

I would agree with this as well as say that he probably has some growing up to do.

My buddy pointed him out at the ECU game. He was sitting on the defense's bench while the rest of the quarterbacks and team were down near the end zone cheering on the defense. Another player walked over to him and sprayed with a water bottle motioning for him to get up. Once he did get up and go to the sideline, he just stood there by himself looking pissy not trying to involve himself with the rest of the team at all.

So things like this plus his play, so far, indicate he has a way to go before we can count on him at the most critical position. I don't think he is any where near ready.

You sure that wasn't DT Demetrius Hill? He also wears #9

If it really was Hill can I blame the mistake on Taggart removing the names from jerseys? ;)

Anyway I'd rather be wrong than worry about yet another attitude problem from a key position.
