Just my luck. The Harvard Yale game goes into second OT after being delayed by a protest, USF now delayed and can't get ESPN3 to work. Ugh

Was going to drive down from Nashville for the Memphis game and actually use my season tickets. Not worth it.

I cant see myself making the drive up I4 with no hopes of a bowl and him on the sidelines
Yeah I am on the fence about driving down from Nashville

My basic understanding is this:
1) He has had to shore up our OLine for various reasons so the QB has time to throw
2) Our QB is injured
3) Our passing game is ineffective for reasons beyond QB injury
Could be wrong but I think that sums it up.

Thought these were interesting reads.
From the marketing company’s website that developed the logo;

Detailed review from Brand New which seems to be a branding trade publication:

I’ve come to expect USF athletics to be poor to mediocre. We’ve always been an underachieving athletics program imo. It’s not apathy as much as it is the reality. I’ll still buy season tickets and root for the teams because I’m a die hard and deep down I want to believe were going to be as good as any good P5 program. I think if anything, I’m most bothered how the knats have invested in their athletics programs and passed us by. It feels like that for the moment anyway, but I don’t know if that is the actual reality. They seem to have the facilities and the wins currently.
This is pretty much how I feel with the exception of buying season tickets. I'm done with that for a while. I realize that my 8 seats probably don't register on the University's radar. However, I believe it is the only meaningful expression I have at my disposal.
I am just tired of investing myself in what seems to be nothing more than a sideline enterprise for the University. For several years now I haven't been able to shake the feeling that the University's passion for football and athletics left with Leavitt. They have been going through the motions ever since because they believe it is what a proper University should do.
If USF can show that they can get it together then I will reevaluate my position at that time.

Didn’t UNC have 10 players suspended for their game with ECU?

Really excited about today. Bringing about 20 people to the spring game and 12 of them are kids.
Recruiting future Bulls! 🤘🏈

If at Soldier Field, we'll be there.

There were a couple Texas Tech fans at that little bar across the street, the Tide and the Tiger. They congratulated us on the win and stayed to celebrate with about 20-ish of us USF fans. They bought us shots and fun was had by all.

Picked up my ticket from Sundome will call last night. Staying in 5 Points area. Didn’t go last year but want to be there for the seniors on their last game with us.

At the time I was a new father at 21 so USF was a means to an end. I really didn’t care one way or the other. I had bigger priorities.
Football is what brought me back.

While not a complete repeat of our experience with the staff here some things seem similar:

...and Gilbert will need to call plays that work to this team’s strengths.

Unfortunately the cops came and took her away. Hopefully nothing serious came out of it.
-
While I admit our section got quite vocal towards Gilbert (he’s not good in case you didn’t hear) we did make it down to the wall after the game to let the players know how much we appreciate them.

Just got home from the game. While watching this slowly go down the tubes, I remembered something Charlie Strong said during his opening press conference. He said something to the effect of slowing the offense down. At first I thought it was to help the defense out. Maybe to give them a chance to catch their breath. Now I know that it was so Sterling Gilbert wouldn't get overwhelmed.
This guy is not good at what he does. Looking at his resume I can't understand how he made it to Texas.
I would be surprised if anyone was giving Charlie Strong a serious look too.

the inability to effectively pass the ball will cost USF eventually.
Wasn’t that what Gilbert was brought in to help with?

Anyone buying the sandbagging theory on Gilbert?

They have home run threats and will score, but their defense looks susceptible.
One thing I do like about them is that Frost has Milton playing in a system that plays to the O’s strengths.

Not that impressed with UCF. Seem a little pedestrian against stiffer competition.

Our coaching staff has no imagination, it will be DJ straight up the gut.
Maybe the poll should have been “Who runs it up the middle?” 😁

Season Ticket Renewal
in USF South Florida Bulls Athletics
Posted
Just got off the phone with John Lewis over at USF ticket sales and was happy that I could tell him that I am renewing with no reservations about that decision. The short version is that we had a great conversation about past concerns and why, unlike the past few years, I believe that this renewal is a good investment. It is nice to be able to make this decision "because of the things I see" and not "in spite of the things I see".
Go Bulls!!!
