    Troll (Internet)

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This article is about internet slang. For other uses, see Troll (disambiguation).
    20px-Padlock-silver.svg.png

In Internet slang, a troll (pron.: /ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is someone who posts inflammatory,[1]extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as a forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[3] The noun troll may also refer to the provocative message itself, as in: "That was an excellent troll you posted."

While the word troll and its associated verb trolling are associated with Internet discourse, media attention in recent years has made such labels subjective, with trolling describing intentionally provocative actions and harassment outside of an online context. For example, mass media has used troll to describe "a person who defaces Internet tribute sites with the aim of causing grief to families

I take that to mean that you pulled your view of locker room (pee wee to college) behavior out of your ass.

  2. You really don't know a ******* thing about this, do you? You want to know why he got fired, because the video was made public. Rutgers as an institution is on thin ice already when it comes to anything involving homophobic insults, actions, etc. and this already cost the coach and AD their jobs and might take the president of the university down with it if the faculty have their way. Explain how that has anything to do with his record.

You are correct ...It was made public.....But WHY was it made PUBLIC.....Penn State covered it up for years...

Insults are a fact of life in the locker room...they are used to get a players attention and to try to get them excited and focused.....I can asure you that the Half time in a locker room can be very unpleasant.

The trick is to find the right balance...and some coaches are better than others......I take no offense to homophopic insults...."What are you a sissy" is as old as the hills...I'm not saying this or defending this but any player who has gone from Pee-Wee to College ball has probably heard it 100 times....

IMO there are plenty of "KINGS" in waiting looking for a high paying position in Rutgers...and pulling lots of strings and making phone calls... IMO the Abuse is a TOOL but not the reason...

So you want us to believe you have been hanging around locker rooms , the question is where and when?

It was also the birth of what later became known as the War Flamingo

War Flamingo? Were those the inflatable birds I saw a bunch of kids on a short bus holding? Had absolutely nothing to do with USF, but everyone told them "way to go" anyway, just so nobody's feelings got hurt.

I forgot we had all those other traditions... Don't know why you are so against the only tradition we have maybe you were attacked by a rouge flamingo as a child

Aren't flamingos more of a salmon color?

Color varies by species (there are  6)  from pale pink to deep red, and also orange.

    Your Royal Highness

The 2013 USF Spring Game is right around the corner and as a renewing season ticket holder, USF Athletics would like to invite you to a season ticket holder pre-game tailgate.

The season ticket holder tailgate will take place on Saturday, April 13 at Raymond James Stadium prior to the USF Spring Game (Spring Game begins at 5pm).

The tailgate will begin at 3pm in Lot 6D on the south side of the stadium.

Space is limited for the tailgate, therefore all renewing season ticket holders who are interested in attending must RSVP and register for the tailgate using the link below by Monday, April 8 at 12pm.  Once capacity is reached for the event, no further reservations will be accepted.

    Please note the following guidelines:

I know money is important....but so is quality of life...If someone enjoys watching a USF baseball game and pays $.50 is there realy anything wrong with that.

I can imagine lots of USF graduates having Staford loans to pay and looking for work. They still love their school... let's cut them a break...

    Go Bulls

Who said there was anything wrong. I was just saying that while baseball takes in money, it is a long way from paying all of its bills (which is true of everything except football and men's basketball).

I think our Olympic sports are priced prefect. Affordable for everyone. We want bodies in the stands to support those teams.

Can anyone comment on student access/fees for attending games. .I believe there is a student section at Football Games are these free/reduced fees. How about other sports..

Full stands helps team performance and recruiting...Should pricing policies be reviewed???

Did you actually attend USF,? You have a lot of opinions about USF sports, yet appear to know nada about USF sports. Have you ever been to a game?
But he has ADHD. Didn't you hear?
No i never attended and I have never gone to a game. I buy season tickets because I'm as stupid as some of these TROLL Posts..

What I have learned is to distinguish quality...And to ignore STUPIDITY..I have nothing to prove to you with your comments since it would do no good...STUPID IS STUPID.

    Go Bulls

Pointing out that you don't know **** about 97% of the things you write about isn't technically being a "troll" in the true spirit of the definition. Trust me, none of us that does it is trying to get you to respond in 14 more posts back and forth to yourself. Also, any chance English is your second or third language?

English is a second language...Spanish is third

Gibberish seems to be your first!

There is a reason they call basketball and football the revenue sports.

How much profit does football net at USF?  Basketball?

I have no idea if they are turning "profits" but they bring in the revenue.  My guess is each comes close to paying for itself, ie. covering costs of travel, stadium costs, etc.

I wonder how they would do financially without the high USF student athletic fees.

  9. I'm sure baseball has the potential to make a little bit of money.

31 home games. Capacity of 3,211. Say over the next few years we pick it up *hopefully* and our attendance bumps to an average of 2,000 paid. $7 a ticket * 2,000 * 31 home games = $434,000

Fuzzy math!!    GA Season tickets sell for $50 which equates to $1.61 per game.  There's also a family pack for $100 (4 tickets) which lowers the per game admission to just 80.6 cents.

One lacking class pointed out by another lacking class.

Selvie's absence of class may only be temporary though.

True ... All we have is the one video for George where we have 730+ posts for the other.

Right on cue!  Brad pulls the strings and his puppet responds.

Bad analogy .... More like a comedic duo where one sets up the other for the punch line .... I was going to say one was the straight man but I knew how that would have ended up.

Interesting, though, that no names were mentioned in either of our posts yet you responded ...

You're dumber than a box of rocks.
