Logged in to find out why Pryor’s not in. But also to wonder aloud about the announcing crew having all freakin halftime to investigate why Pryor’s not playing.

I understand the argument about coming from ASun and having to play at a higher level in the AAC, but that should be irrelevant when it comes to competing with teams like CMU, Maine, Hofstra, so I am pretty disappointed. Yes, give him time, but I expected we'd look better in these Nov-Dec non-conference games.
Right. Losing to Hofstra and Maine should not be happening with a basketball program at a school of about a hundred thousand students or whatever it’s blown up to be lately.
On the flip side, a well coached, below mid-major team can pluck a player or three out of the portal and make paper tigers like USF look foolish.

Fouling the 3 point shooter is always a dumb idea, but when you're up 7 with 20 seconds left? It's a really dumb idea.

Nice win. Pitching was decent., but not sure about Hunter Mink as the Friday night guy. Tanner Mink gave up a grand slam to make it close. Should have been a 1-2-3 9th but the umpire squeezed on an obvious strike 3 call and that led to back to back singles to make it interesting.
Our 3-4-5 hitters are legit. Boser with 2 dingers and there were a few other clutch hits along the way from. Be nice to get another win either tomorrow or Sunday
Those announcers were terrible, but they did get it right when they mentioned the C, Rivera was setup way off the plate and had to come back for a borderline pitch.

LOL so there are two Minks on the Bulls.
I was wondering why the heck coach'd let a starter go that long.

I'm sorry, do you not think that the people on this board can handle some "disappointment"... it's all we have known for years, we can handle it. But in all honesty, it shouldn't be a pipe dream. It makes perfect sense. If you want to get some donors and help fund a stadium, that is the play. Most likely it turns out in winning games, but there would be a retirement agreement in my plan with CJL if he can't get it back on track. A retirement plan that lets him go out with dignity and a place on the USF mantle.
Everything else is a crapshoot at best and a Jeff Scott level disaster at worst.
Agreed. Leavitt is the safe hire to help stabilize the program. I mean, to even get it back to .500 for a few years would do wonders.

Their WaWa subs up in NJ were better than the ones down here in FL. Think it is the difference in rolls.
A sub shop up in NJ won't exist long without having $$$ rolls.

IMO, this Gator team is garbage.

And people mocked them for declaring themselves National Champs. NCAA followed suit and it paid off for UCF. Everyone should use that marketing genius.
They were punching upwards the whole time. It was pretty easy to get behind what they did.

USF's heyday in the Big East (wayyyy back when we were ranked #2 for half an hour) is still more impressive than this reeking pile of dung that the new Big XII-sans Texahoma UCF finds itself in. is it better than the AAC? sure, but these things are cyclical. can anyone name what matchups from the new Big XII will be must-see TV? no? didn't think so.
USF's best days are still more compelling than anything UCF has done before or since & a slightly better than lateral move to the new Big XII may be painful in the sense that being excluded & rejected is always painful, but it's not the death-knell for USF that some people believe, nor is it the elevation to the Big Boys P5 club that UCF would like for it to seem.
& regardless of the reason why, getting an OCS is a huge plus that is over a decade in the making. let's embrace it & hope we can finally put a winning product on the field.
So you're saying USF fans should take heart that for that week in October 2007 when they reached #2 (in what was the most volatile year of ranking teams) is better than anything UCF will achieve?
And we're supposed to ignore the fact they went undefeated a few years ago?
I mean, I get that these things happened out of our control, but you're painting lipstick on a pig here.
ETA: the sooner USF gets an OCS the better, but this sorta feels like a wag-the-dog situation here.

It was a QB scramble, but the play call was a pass.
Still, if that's not four down territory, then what are we doing here?

It wasn't a draw. It was a pass with a blitz that collapsed the pocket and a great QB making a play
Thanks for the correction. Gamecast on ESPN labeled it a running play.

I get the draw play on 3rd and long if you're going for it on 4th down. Stupid.

Problem is that the sec now has so many premier teams they don't need to play any outsiders.
Yeah I'm not so sure about that. SOS matters, and even in the SEC's best years, half the conference is still a shade above dreck.

LOL, sorry, the jumping conferences for $ has gotten too much to keep track of. That being said, does the new ACC-BIG 10, PAC 12 Alliance mean the 3 conferences are equal? So if a team wants in, if they have something like a rivalry to any member team means they all support it?
The SEC is the most profitable, but I'm not sure how sustainable their reign will be if "the Alliance" actually can commit to blocking the scheduling of any and all SEC opponents. That'd be a hilarious way to end all this garbage. As for conference additions? Can it actually prevent, say, the Big 10 from adding a new school? As for the ACC, I know they have their own fraternity-level blackball system. Maybe 15 years ago (?) Boston College blackballed UConn from entry into said conference back when the Big East was raided (again).

Sorry, I was going with you know, teams that are actually in the ACC. Maryland's been in the Big 10 for the past seven years.

They have a rivalry with Maryland?
Eh, not really. UVA and VT maybe, but not Maryland.

Curious as to whether or not FAU is one of the few teams brought into the AAC.
Man this has the potential to be deflating.

Building a Stadium and winning a national title are BOTH "hypothetical" things USF has NOT accomplished. So my hypothetical question is would you rather win national titles and use Ray Jay or win NOTHING and have an on campus stadium? Please utilize your "reading comprehension skills" when answering this question.
Show your math on your initial claim Miami has nine national championships.
By my count, Miami has won national titles in 1983, 1987, shared one with Washington in 1991, and then again in 2001.
That’s 4.5 titles.
Regardless, the Orange Bowl was a garbage stadium as far back as 1986 in a neighborhood that made Suitcase City look like a safe place to raise your family. I’d much rather enjoy a Saturday afternoon in an OCS.

Jim Leavitt kept an offer letter from the University of Alabama to coach their football team (circa 2005-2006?) in his desk while the HC at USF. They pried Saban away from the Miami Dolphins after he (and others?) turned them down.
