The career resuscitation of former Gulf High football standout Alton Voss is nearing its fruition.

Voss, sober for 14 months since his career was derailed by substance abuse and a prescription-drug addiction, has been invited to join Division II Grand Valley State in Allendale, Mich., as a walk-on in 2013.

"For me to kind of have a second chance...I'm blessed to really have the doors open up the way they have," Voss said by phone Wednesday from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

A onetime USF signee who left the program and later flamed out at two junior colleges, Voss has completed the in-patient program at CMI Abasto, a Buenos Aires treatment facility. Now in the outpatient segment, he lives in a nearby apartment and works as an intern in the office of the facility, which boasts a 100-percent success rate among those who complete the treatment.

I have used it, sucks for video but is good for audio. I did think last year's soccer playoffs came in pretty well however.

The feed is in HD? The video that we see on the video board has been poor.

yup the soccer feeds are in HD it's very clear, it's only 480p i think thus making it grainy on bigger screens

the effort is being expanded to all the other programs too. I was watching on BullsCast last night and they did some work inside the Corral too, albeit it could use some more but USF is not particularly rolling in dough

I don't feel bad for him when he has that kind of attitude. He puts himself before the team.

A few weeks ago I created a thread looking for a USF football helmet to be used for photos. With help from a few members I got steered toward a vendor. On July 25th I welcomed my second child into the world and he had his first photos taken a week later.
