They've been an odd number overall since 2014... thanks to ND.  Adding SMU made them an even number... except in football --> which was your point about being an odd number currently.

I bet they lose 2 and add 3... WSU and OSU to help with Stanford and Cal ... (on paper, a merger with the Pac 12 which lets the NCAA units transfer)... and then I hope that 3rd is USF to keep two teams in Florida ... but I suspect adding New Orleans might have just as much appeal.

And the 5,000 students Tulane has???

12-2 with loses against Bama in season and opening round of cfb to Bama again who lost to Georgia in thr conference championship. We win the aac and get invited to the b12 but AD MK declines saying we want to align with conference that values academics. AD Mk makes a bold  move and declares USF  is now an ACC program and refuses to play any aac teams ever. The ncaa has no choice but to accept it.

    Preach!

Why would anyone leace the ACC for the dead SWAC/B1g8 rebranded twice time now with all the teams with highest value leaving Mizzou, TAMU,Okalahoma, and Texas. The ACC has been around since the 1950s and has a lot more value than the  b12 which is the dead  conference leftovers from the pac12, swac, and big 8.   Arkansas was ahead of the curve and never joined the b12 and went straight to the SEC. Then their big rival Mizzou said hey can you get us into the best athletic confernce. They have been trying to build up the big 12  brand but then all the power programs Mizzou, TAMU, Okalahoma, and Texas  said see you guys later we want to join a conference with better academics , championship pedigree teams, and more conerence prestige.

Basically the argument ender to whoever disputes what conference is better between big 12 & ACC. It is the fact that WVU, Cindy, & UCiF would drop the big 12 like a rented mule if the ACC sent them invites. Anyone disputing that are just blowing gas….

Why would they pay the B12 $50 million exit fee to join a potentially crumbling ACC?

Money talks... and Miami has the type of money that could potentially sway a successful Coach. It's been a great run - either way, he's earned a following and I hope he makes a decision that is best for him and his family. He will always be a Bull IMO regardless.

Couldn’t have said it better!  Wish him the best because he deserves it.

A look at six ACC programs that could be in line to join the Big Ten.

Miami: The natural landing spot in conference expansion is the Big Ten

Why it makes sense: The Big Ten’s top target in the next round of conference expansion – it begins with Miami. Joining the AAU last year is the final part of the resume for Miami. They bring a top 20 market and a national brand in football that is impossible to ignore. In fact, Miami’s football following is probably top-five in terms of a national brand. They’ve also had success in men’s basketball in recent years, another selling point. But it is the eyeballs, particularly in south Florida, that makes Miami so intriguing for the Big Ten. The breakdown: There isn’t any reason for Miami to not be considered for the Big Ten. If the ACC falls apart, then Miami would be a market and following the Big Ten would like to add. Also, gaining a foothold in south Florida for recruiting is a nice plus.

Why it makes sense: In almost every way, North Carolina is a fit in the Big Ten. Football and basketball are strong programs. They have a national fanbase in basketball. They are located in a good spot in terms of the markets they would bring in. An AAU member, like Duke there is seemingly a good fit here between North Carolina and the Big Ten. The breakdown: And like Duke, would North Carolina actually leave the ACC and potentially break up their rivalry with Duke and NC State?

How I know this person doesn’t know anything….

Like you can just choose to join AAU

But if the Big Ten is looking to get to 22 or even 24 programs, then Clemson is in a very good spot. What works against them? They aren’t AAU members. But if they are willing to become a member, then Clemson will greatly enhance their resume for the Big Ten.

I watched the UCF post-game presser, and CJD said that in scouting USF, the thing that stood out the most was our ability to hit 3s. He said that at any given time, we have 4 guys on the court that hit 3s at 35% or higher. He added that their inability to prevent those 3s were a big factor in their loss.

Other than that, how did you like the play Mrs Lincoln?

100 percent true, but at the same time we are so close, and we have a unique shot at making the NCAAT.

This is crunch time and hopefully we can finish strong and get wins against Tulane and Tulsa. I think win those two and we are very close to that tournament birth. Win the first round of the AAC tournament, and I think we would be a lock.

Our first game will be the quarterfinals against the 8-9 seeded winner.
