Been looking for four club access tickets to this game. Holding hope and go Bulls!
-
This was the exact sequence of events I expected. Wasn't overly worried. I figured he would get a new contract after this season but definitely was sped up with all the coaching vacancies this offseason.
-
yea, i always expected so much from Price. I am happy he ends is career on such a high note and hopefully can add a few more TDs before all is done.
-
I know late notice, but wife can't make it so looking for a single ticket if anyone has extra? I will be tailgating around 12:30 on north side of stadium.

All it takes is one transformational player to totally turn around a program, sometimes forever.
Baylor was a laughingstock, worthless, horrible program. They were in danger of dropping to CUSA if the B12 had broken up. RG3 shows up and probably changes their fortune for decades to come.
Louisville was a dumpster fire under Kragthorpe. I know Strong gets a lot of credit here, but he doesn't turn around the program to the level it's at now without Bridgewater. If he has an Eveld at QB, there just a run of the mill AAC team stuck in the AAC with no ACC invite coming. Teddy "Ballgame" Bridgewater helped get them to the ACC.
There are many other examples. All it takes is one special player.
Is Mike White that guy? We shall soon see. No pressure, Mike. If not, is Quinton Flowers that guy?
One guy can change USF's fortunes forever.
yes and no
i great qb elevates everyone and will attract top recruits
but coaches have to develop solid exciting offense also(unless you are alabama)
i wish white wasnt playing in this particular game on a short week
What is the big deal about him playing on the short week? He only played a minute on Saturday and the rest of the O only played 10 minutes, they should all be fresh.

It really doesn't matter, but, didn't I read a story on White saying that Scott had been recruiting him, but, Skip was on the fence and never really offered him even though Scott thought he had the talent? Then, Scott brought the video to Taggart on day 1 and Tags made the decision to offer the kid?
Vaguely remember something like that in the story. Obviously Skip wasn't completely against him, allowing Scott to spend time on him, but, he was sitting on the sidelines, stroking the timeouts in his pocket.
This is the story as I remember it.

At this pace will it really matter to have White in the 2017 season if the football team is disbanded? I am sure CWT played him because he has seen more than enough to know that burning the red shirt is the best option for both White and the team for not only the remainder of this season but the future. If White does show promise then at the very least fans have something to look forward too and this may help in recruiting. When skippy played Eveld in Miami it was about trying to save his job, CWT has no need to worry about that at this time. Plus how many more games can we have where the poor defense is forced to be on the field for 42 minutes? If White develops we will get QB recruits to follow him.
Lastly, CWT is showing that he will stand by his words and put players on the field that will help the team win. He wants playmakers. I am just surprised it took so long, White should have been in this game after the second "drive" where thankfully penalties gave us our only points.

Lamar is a bull!

I guess UK is one of his finalist??

Hearing rumblings about Stacy. Got my fingers crossed
I have yet to hear anything about Stacy.

Uprooting a family is tough. We need someone a little more confident in his abilities. If family was going to be an issue he shouldn't have shown interest.
Maybe he played us for a raise at Stanford.

Make no mistake about this hire-- Weiner was brought in ONLY for recruiting. the "WR coach" is simply for semantics to get him on staff.
it's a great move for Weiner. the reasons why he probably left for USF:
1. even in this "WR coach" position, he probably makes more money than h.s.
2. he doesn't have to move and uproot his family
3. he makes in-roads for a coaching career in college football
4. he's done everything he can at the h.s. level (4 state titles in 9 years!!)
good for him and good for us!! but honestly, i can see him using usf as a stepping stone for another college coaching job.
OMG, here we go again! I hope he is using us as a stepping stone, that means he wishes to be successful and advance in his career.
+1
Can't wait until we are known as THE place to come because you'll soon be moving on to a great promotion!
+2
i never said us being a stepping stone was a bad thing. it means he would be doing something positive here

I've confirmed that #Stanford outside linebackers coach Lance Anderson has been offered the #USF DC job. He hasn't decided whether to accept
-
I do not see why not, although it will help if we start: 1. Winning, 2. Winning easily.

Visiting the same day as Derrick Calloway. That'd be a nice two for one.
Hopefully Calloway still visits.

Shannon would be huge, We have Coach T with the South West Fla connections, Throw in Shannon with the Dade County Connections and we lock up 2/3rds of the FLA HOT BED for recruiting. Only area left to get would be Orlando,(we do well there already) and Jville.
Coach T, USF , lets get it done and bring Shannon on board.
it doesnt matter who the coaches are USF will not be locking anywhere down in recruiting until the stadium and trophy case are full.
Evidently someone isn't paying attention to current events.
yea, if we recently locked somewhere down in recruiting I certainly missed it.
Catch up... Taggart has been here only a few weeks and has already gotten 5 commits along with a flip from Minnesota on a great local CB.
Low expectations.
No offense but 2 JUCO's, a non qualifier, a QB whose best offers were Eastern Kentucky and Marshall, and a Minnesota flip isn't locking it down. Only Godwin has any other good options. When we are getting the best out of an area you can call it locked down. And that isn't happening until fans actually show up and we have shown we can win something.
Do you really expect him to lock down 4 stars in his first two weeks after our season last year and the BE implosion??? Really?!
I agree... REALLY?!

Dead period starts a week from Sunday, IIRC, so I hope they wait until after that.
On a related note, I wonder if he'll continue the Ladies' Days events?
I don't see why not, it isn't like we went WKU route and hired Petrino!
-
USF makes more sense but Wisconsin has B1G money and a conference to offer. We need this guy now. If he ends up in Madison I'll be too upset with Woolard.
At least we have Zook to fall back on.
-
One fan was being a complete A-hole yelling at the players as they went into the tunnel. He was turning purple like Brian Kelly. The only person he didn't yell at was Cosh. smh
-
great news, this is looking to be a decent class.
That is quite the understatement there! With two top 100 recruits already, this guy is icing on the cake. I think he's pretty under rated as of right now.. I'm glad we got him over Providence.
I was trying to be understated before, I am very excited about this class. Amazing how we were brought in to BE for our FB potential, and now our FB is a joke and now we may be rising to the upper tier of the conference in MBB over the next few years. 1 out of 2 ain't bad.

Hopefully the Hoopla didn't hurt.

Do you think if Holtz fires Cosh and made a proper DC hire, the ship can be righted at all going forward? I can't believe Cosh is under contract as well, but I am sure we can handle his much easier.

I know he isn't 100% so missing some burst, but he clearly has good vision. I was impressed.
