  1. Lakeland is quickly becoming a USF hotbed.  While the Gators are clearly the most popular option in town, it wouldn't be a stretch to say USF is now #2.  You can't go anywhere in town without seeing USF plates or people wearing USF gear.  I teach at a local high school and many of the kids wear USF t-shirts.

  2. No need to ban posters based on divergent viewpoints but let's be realistic.  There is a very good chance that USF could have competed for a national title at the Division 1 Championship Division formerly known as Division 1-AA or something like that.   To expect a BCS Championship in less than 10 years of Division 1 Bowl Division play is a bit much.   I wonder if Texas A&M CC hoops message boards have fans expecting a national title.  They started D1 play in 1999.

However, the fact that people on this board entertain those thoughts and are taken seriously shows how far this program has come.  The next ten years will even more difficult as the program strives for elite status.

there is nothing to suggest usf would have won a d1aa championship! pure speculation.

usf hasnt competed for a cusa title or BE title since

usf is in the middle of the best football talent east of mississippi.winning at usf in football should be easy

what leavitt has accomplished isnt  that great or surprising

Looking back at the archives, I see you are correct.  I'm done with this program, they haven't done a **** thing.  I already have a ticket to B'Ham but think I'll stay home.  Good luck to the rest of you guys clinging to this sinking ship.  I'm done!!!

  4. nice guy isnt part of requirements for being a head coach

he let program slip to an embarassingly low level

usf should have a banner year of recruiting with fsu sucking

usf appears to be more stable than either fsu or miami

the circumstances put leavitt on goalline.CAN HE GO IN FOR td OR WILL HE FUMBLE?

Can't tell you the outcome but pretty dang sure it will be on a double reverse pass!!!

  5. OOC scheduling is done too far in advance to preclude teams from playing in MNC games because of it.  When the contracts were probably signed 3-5 years ago, UofL playing Miami and K-State looked much better than USC's tandem of Arkansas and Notre Dame.  It's a bad system anyway you look at it.

As of now, the best way solution would be for undefeated Michigan/Ohio State winner to play undefeated Rutgers.

If that isn't possible, then someone has to play with one loss and that decision will just be arbitrary.

  6. 1. Do you BULLlieve USF "can" win 2morrow?

    Sure, it's possible

    2. Where will you watch the game?

Lakeland Wing House or Ale House

    3. What will be the deciding group in our victory?

    Offense

    4. At 7-3 are we at what you expected before the season?

    Yes

    5.  Do you like Papa John's Pizza?

Yes...not my favorite but I'll eat it

  7. I thought the city owned the stadium and not the glazers.  do the glazers set the prices, and if so why if they do not own stadium.

    Very simple explanation here...

Tampa Bay sports fans (generally speaking) are some of the most ignorant and gullible in the country.  How many cities would have let the Glazers come in here and do what they have done and are continuing to do?

It was the voting population of Hillsborough County that approved the deal along with some other stipulations like money for schools.  It doesn't really apply to me since I don't live in Hills. county  but I'm sure that there are other people on this board that don't like being called ignorant.
