Once upon a time, an ignorant AD hired an overmatched head coach toiled through the woods, scratching each other's back as they foraged for food to eat...you know, to survive. One day, they ran into a hunter. He had weapons, he had knowledge and they quickly began to fear him. The hunter told them to leave the forest, because they were no match for the coming Red Storm, Scarlet Knights, Orangemen, Wildcats, Bearcats and other beasts. Seeking advice, they asked the Friars, "are we welcome in the forest, or should we leave?" The Friars said, "follow the Cardinal, go past the Boneyard and exit the forest. Along the way, you may feast on goose eggs, and satisfy your need for food. When you reach the forest's edge, yell out HOYA. This will be the signal that you have come to understand your fate, and you will then allow the fittest to lead your herd of Bulls into the promised land." The moral of the story...leave the big decisions - the big challenges - to those who can handle them. The fittest will survive. The weakest animals will become assistant coaches or take their trade to a mid-major conference, where they can be more successful.
