  1. I would love to know who Smazza really supports if everything was on the line.

you need to get a life and not worry about me

The question was based on you stating that USC can never do anything wrong and that you say that USF can do nothing right.

Based on over 42,000 posts of mostly crap,  I think that you Mr. Mazza need to get a life.

  2. With such an impressive showing at Louisville was just wondering if anyone else has joined the so-called DARK SIDE? Won't speak for anyone else, but just going to the "Toilet Bowl" isn't good enough for me. Guess that's what happens when you grow up watching & rooting - YES ROOTING - for one of THE BEST teams in the country. Watching them once again make it to the national championship gamehas probably spoiled me in being sympathetic to mediocre coaching. And, before you all jump on me for being an Ohio State homer...I was rooting for them way before most of you were probably even born - and, obviously way before USF even had a football team.

So, is everyone out there okay with beating the crappy teams of the BE, and losing to the good ones? Or, have you started to see that Jim Leavitt isn't the guy that's going to take this program any further? See you in Arizona.

Hey Ohio State homer.  How was it like being a Texas Longhorn homer last year?  Do you have a team to root for next year yet or are you going to wait until next year at this time to pick one???   I do know you can't have Southern Cal because Smazza already has claimed them.

  3. OOC scheduling is done too far in advance to preclude teams from playing in MNC games because of it.  When the contracts were probably signed 3-5 years ago, UofL playing Miami and K-State looked much better than USC's tandem of Arkansas and Notre Dame.  It's a bad system anyway you look at it.

As of now, the best way solution would be for undefeated Michigan/Ohio State winner to play undefeated Rutgers.

If that isn't possible, then someone has to play with one loss and that decision will just be arbitrary.

a 12th game was added and top big east teams should have got on phone with top 10 teams and played them on road

instead wv called eastern washington to come to morgantown

big east had their chance to play big boys and ran from it

ksu has never been better than arkanas

ul isnt usc.ul and wv need to go on the road if they have to

I know the great Smazza is the most knowledgable football fan on this board but I have to say that for the previous 10 seasons, Kansas State has been to many more major bowls than Arkansas.   Until this season,  Arkansas has been a middle of the road SEC program.  They were last good when they were a member of the old Southwest conference.

  4. no big east team is worthy of NC as i said all along

No SEC team is worthy of NC this year.  No ACC team is worthy of NC.  No Big12 team is worthy.  What's your point?

Add the Pac-10 to that theory as well.  Cal laid ANOTHER egg vs. Arizona

bcs runs thru LA and usc and usc as always controls their own fate

until big east elite start playing top 10 teams BE will get no respect

After Notre Dame beats USC,  the BCS will need to find another road to travel.

  5. Nope...not an incredibly awful loss-- Taurus Johnson and Marcus Edwards were better looking receiver prospects coming out of HS.  Lecorn is an athlete.  With Richardson in the fold expect a big receiver to be picked up since we're losing Green and Jackson will be in his last year.  Larry Freeman is high on our list, and Demetrious Byrd, and don't be surprised about Carlton Hill, and don't expect Andrew Harris to be a done deal to WVU.  We might go after a smallish speedy receiver like Jock Sanders (still on him), Lecorn, Taurus Mckinley.

Lecorn seems as good as gone to USC.  I think probably good for USF.

As far as big receivers,  I think we have a couple good ones redshirting in Mitchell and Sherman.   They are both 6'4" and very athletic.

  6. not surprised

    look what they lost

this is truly a rebuilding process

they will compete for national championship next year

    mag pie-they are america's team

I hate Notre Dame as much as anyone but there is no way you can call USC America's team until they get their own national network like Notre Dame

  7. Exactly!!!! Why the F are you all blaming Rod SMITH??? Leavitt has the option to veto some of these crazy calls.

Leavitt has only minimal control over actual offensive execution.  This was disappointing indeed.  Season isn't over yet, but before we become a premier program, we HAVE TO BECOME A BETTER ROAD TEAM.

The worst member on our football staff is probably Rod Smith.  However, just like in fantasy football, you don't drop him until you can get something better there.  However, in the real world it also has to be something you can afford.

Dragging somebody up from lower ranks is a risk, and there isn't a ton of big names that would want to be our O coordinator.  It's not as easy as picking up a phone and dialing spurrier to magically become OC.

arkansas hired a high school coach to run their offense

this isnt astrophysics-  there are thousands of football coaches that could straighten out usf's offensive woes including me

but bulls are inneed of a special teams coach also

cinncinati is a below average team that usf should have beat

Since the great Smazza says that he could straighten out all of the Bulls offensive woes,  we would love to hear it.  Please Steve,  let us all know in your great wisdom how you can solve the offensive troubles with the talent we have today.

  8. For those of you jumping off the bandwagon after a bad game,  we will not be saving any seats for you to get back on.    Both defenses played a good game but turnovers killed us more than anything.  How would this board be like today if we don't turn the ball over at the 8 yard line early in the third and instead scored?  We never really had any momentum the entire game.  These things happen in college football.
