Nah it was me this time. We always try to use instrumentals that are fast paced and quick, unless the player specifically wants another one

I think it was pretty well established before this year (and especially after we lost Waverly), that it was going to be a rebuilding year. We lost three of our biggest contributors, and the heart and soul of the team (Ron). If we are still struggling like this next year, or the year after, with the recruiting class we have coming in, then I'll be worried. But I kind of expected this for this season, as much as I hoped it wouldn't.

I just hope the students show up - go down to Bayshore right after the game.  It appears online that this game is almost sold out so it's going to be another Cuse with the crowd 50/50 Bulls/Irish.  We really need the students and season ticket holders to show.

Don't count on it, unfortunately. The average student (not the diehard fans) would rather get drunk at Gasparilla. I've already accepted this. Not gonna be too good of a student crowd. I hope I'm wrong.

We're already making a poster board that says "Reserved for Lennay Kekua", and putting it in an empty seat in the front row. I like some of these ideas as well

Really never cared too much about learning the fight song - and honestly, I still don't. Leavitt never considered it important - something we both agreed upon. Who needs a fight song anyways? Just win and leave the kumbya mumbo jumbo to the band.

 

With respect, I happen to know you're not right on this one.  The Jim came to band rehearsals and brought the team at the beginning of camp to learn the words to the fight song and alma mater so they could sing along.  He was EXTREMELY supportive of the band and the tradition it could bring.  Lots of programs that win a whole bunch do the same thing--it's a part of the college football environment and a lot of coaches, ADs, and Presidents think it's very important.

I don't mind the band playing the fight song right before the game, but the singing needs to stop. It is seriously pathetic. They go twice as fast as it's supposed to be. Towards the end, each member is at a different point in the song, it just sounds like crap.

 And it should be noted that when the last kid hit a "buzzer beater" that was the loudest the crowd had been to that point. 

This. I was in the front row of the student section, turned around and just screamed to everyone, "Lets be this loud during the actual game!"

To me there's a difference between re-selling stuff bought at a garage sale (where people just want to get rid of their old crap at any cost), and stuff bought at a thrift store. Lower income families really could have used some of this stuff, but this guy just wants to make a quick buck.

Am I the only one who thinks it's kind of a douche move to get clothes at a thrift store, then resell them to try and make a profit?

I'm still a student, but everyone who I know who has graduated said their ID still swipes till the end of the academic year. So you should be good until the end of the spring semester

Think of it this way, worst thing that can happen is a ticket. If you don't pay, they hold your transcript and won't let you register for classes. Not much leverage if you're an alumni.

Other than getting a boot on your car at the next game, alumni have nothing to worry about.

The band thinks they're hot ****, and that they're the only ones allowed to start chants. Especially the Horns Up one. It's Horns Up. Not Bulls Up. The quicker they get that through their thick skulls, the less we will all hate them. I know Outrunner has posted his thoughts on the band, and I agree wholeheartedly. Something has to be done soon, or it is going to get ugly, that is for **** sure
