1. haha wow.  just read this entire thread and laughed out loud.  why dont you two just post a picture making out with eachother and get it over with.

Yea, we both appreciate seeing a great coach building a great basketball program, we must be gay  ::).  I dont care if he was doing it at Arizona State I would notice.  I wonder if you even know who Tim Floyd is?

hermie momart - LGClass' role model.

ps let me know when you have the fan club website up  :)

  2. Brad,

I agree with you 100%!. (Herm, Rueb spare me the kiss butt messages)

I actually typed up a 3 zillion word rant about 2 weeks ago saying pretty much the same thing.

The oppurtunity at USF is one that doesn't come around very often.  Yeah there might be better programs out there.  Yeah there might be schools with way bigger budgets.

But just think of what kind of guy you would be if you could take pathetic ole "South Florida" to the NCAA tournament?

You would be an total rock star!

What is ironic is that is exactly how CJL thinks.  They asked him why he wasn't interested in the Alabama job and he said "5 guys have won a national title at Alabama.  I don't want to be another guy who won a national title at some other school.  Imagine if I could win a national title at South Florida?  Now that would be special."

The expectations are so low.  The bar is inches off the ground at the sun dome.  If a guy could take us to the Big East Tourny and the NIT on a regular basis he would be un-fireable.

I look at a job like Iowa and think why?

All  you have to do at USF is win 20 games and the job is yours for the rest of your life.

Take the job at Ark and 2 first round losses in the NCAA tourny gets you fired.  Take the job at USF and two first round NCAA losses gets you a 500K dollar raise.

Its a no brainer in my eyes.

Anyone who is scared off lacks confidence in their ability.  A man who knows he is a good coach, thinks he can win anywhere.

Its like in golf.  No matter how big or small you make the cup, good putters will always make more putts.  Its not the size of the cup that makes them good putters - its the stroke and confidence.

    hire heath asap

  3. http://www.nbadraft.net/

overrated?  The nba scout experts dont seem to agree.  Noah is a projected lottery pick in the draft thsi year at #7.  Would have been a top 3 last year, but since he is a good student and a positive role model of college basketball he stayed.  You guys mac or huggins fans?  I forget sometimes  :)

i think a lot of us do realize Horford is or may be better, but who cares, that has nothing to do with how good Noah is.  They are both great.

watch the nba the next 8 years, he is a name you will hear for a while.

  4. he made an offer and the guy said no thanks.

there is nothing wrong with that.

he doesn't' think this is the right place to be.  no probelm.

    Whats the big deal.

Somebody will jump at the chance to work here.

It will more likely be a coach who is not currently employed too.

the obsession continues.  ;D  Would the Harricks even want our job?

  5. I can say I was a darksider, but def. not a chicken little.  I know we will hire a good coach.  BUT...

i think  our fans are more nervous about how people are turning us down from mid majors to stay or look for a better big conference opening in the future.  Not that we havent made a hire yet.

It is a little discouraging, you all have to admit.

  6. Hey JD you sound like a knowledgeable drays fan, maybe you can answer this rumor i heard, or anyone for that matter.

Is there any truth in the Devil Rays may move to the NL EAST and the Marlins somewhere else as soon as next year?  I heard it from someone i usually trust and I personally never heard one peep about it.

btw, im not a rays fan but i attend a good amount of games.  But what i think is what i thought last season, ahhh they'll blow it in the ninth.  Good luck rays.

  7. Why so much hatred towards Noah?  If he was on USF you would have fatheads of him in your walls.

Extremley high basketball IQ, does everything part of the game above average, plays harder than anyone on both teams, completely unselfish, teammates love him, the leader of if not the, one of the, best teams in the country and plays with extreme intensity and personality, which if you were an opposing fan or a gator hater you could mistake for arrogance.
