Slogan for Tamplona can be: "Run with the Bulls or swim with the fishes!"

haha wow.  just read this entire thread and laughed out loud.  why dont you two just post a picture making out with eachother and get it over with.
Yea, we both appreciate seeing a great coach building a great basketball program, we must be gay :. I dont care if he was doing it at Arizona State I would notice. I wonder if you even know who Tim Floyd is?
hermie momart - LGClass' role model.
ps let me know when you have the fan club website up

Its not if ben howland wins national championships at ucla, its how many
LA is in good shape with ucla and usc basketball about to explode

The obsession continues
i think trip is Jim Harrick, Jr.

Brad,
I agree with you 100%!. (Herm, Rueb spare me the kiss butt messages)
I actually typed up a 3 zillion word rant about 2 weeks ago saying pretty much the same thing.
The oppurtunity at USF is one that doesn't come around very often.  Yeah there might be better programs out there.  Yeah there might be schools with way bigger budgets.
But just think of what kind of guy you would be if you could take pathetic ole "South Florida" to the NCAA tournament? ÂÂ
You would be an total rock star!
What is ironic is that is exactly how CJL thinks.  They asked him why he wasn't interested in the Alabama job and he said "5 guys have won a national title at Alabama.  I don't want to be another guy who won a national title at some other school.  Imagine if I could win a national title at South Florida?  Now that would be special."
The expectations are so low.  The bar is inches off the ground at the sun dome.  If a guy could take us to the Big East Tourny and the NIT on a regular basis he would be un-fireable.
I look at a job like Iowa and think why?
All  you have to do at USF is win 20 games and the job is yours for the rest of your life.
Take the job at Ark and 2 first round losses in the NCAA tourny gets you fired.  Take the job at USF and two first round NCAA losses gets you a 500K dollar raise.
Its a no brainer in my eyes.
Anyone who is scared off lacks confidence in their ability.  A man who knows he is a good coach, thinks he can win anywhere.
Its like in golf.  No matter how big or small you make the cup, good putters will always make more putts.  Its not the size of the cup that makes them good putters - its the stroke and confidence.
( )( ) :-*
hire heath asap
-
ouch thats hurts. somw good humor though
-
hmmm and what makes you think that the big time coach would have come here when the midmajors are not?
Cincy. Big East. Confidence. Up for a challenge. 800K a year with incentives. Oh yea, and the fact that him and his people expressed interest in us.
-
overrated? The nba scout experts dont seem to agree. Noah is a projected lottery pick in the draft thsi year at #7. Would have been a top 3 last year, but since he is a good student and a positive role model of college basketball he stayed. You guys mac or huggins fans? I forget sometimes
i think a lot of us do realize Horford is or may be better, but who cares, that has nothing to do with how good Noah is. They are both great.
watch the nba the next 8 years, he is a name you will hear for a while.
-
he made an offer and the guy said no thanks.
there is nothing wrong with that.
he doesn't' think this is the right place to be.  no probelm.
Whats the big deal.
Somebody will jump at the chance to work here.
It will more likely be a coach who is not currently employed too.
the obsession continues. ;D Would the Harricks even want our job?
-
That play was b-a-n-a-n-a-s! 8-)
-
Should have done it last year when a big time coach was looking for a job.
So true!!!!
-
I can say I was a darksider, but def. not a chicken little. I know we will hire a good coach. BUT...
i think our fans are more nervous about how people are turning us down from mid majors to stay or look for a better big conference opening in the future. Not that we havent made a hire yet.
It is a little discouraging, you all have to admit.
-
Thats all great, but would he want our job?
-
With all the money I hear we are tossing around there has to be some good coaches out there we can get. This has to be affecting recruiting.
-
No link, just watching college gamenight which showed the bottom line scroll this info. I was thinking that the bottom line scroll was going to read that Gregg Marshall accepts the USF job, but it states that he has withdrawn his name from conideration for the USF job. Sad news!!!
I JUST READ THE SAME THING. >

Hey JD you sound like a knowledgeable drays fan, maybe you can answer this rumor i heard, or anyone for that matter.
Is there any truth in the Devil Rays may move to the NL EAST and the Marlins somewhere else as soon as next year? I heard it from someone i usually trust and I personally never heard one peep about it.
btw, im not a rays fan but i attend a good amount of games. But what i think is what i thought last season, ahhh they'll blow it in the ninth. Good luck rays.

Why so much hatred towards Noah? If he was on USF you would have fatheads of him in your walls.
Extremley high basketball IQ, does everything part of the game above average, plays harder than anyone on both teams, completely unselfish, teammates love him, the leader of if not the, one of the, best teams in the country and plays with extreme intensity and personality, which if you were an opposing fan or a gator hater you could mistake for arrogance.
-
-
HA! Florida outmatched that team at every position. The refs kept it as close as they possibly could. UF is an nba team.
you have been drinking hatorade.
herm - not a gators fan but picked UF to win it all 2 years in a row, so far it worked last year, looking good this year.
-
biggest forehead bone (?) I have ever seen.
-
Nice weekend to come visit in Tampa.
Did we make an "official" offer? Does he have a deadline to answer? Shouldnt we be recruiting now?
16 days and waiting.
-
Goo job, I agree with him, he is too old.
guess joebulls was wrong about him wanting the job.
packers should cut favre
in Tampa Bay and General Sports

Cmon guys no one saw that coming, not even brett Favre.
It was a fair prediction, it just happened to be wrong. I didnt see anyone here say "no Brett Favvre will be nasty next year and Greenbay will get a 1st round bye". In fact i didnt see anyone, anywhere say that. i
