  1. Exploitation???

They get a premium education (if they want), tutors, computer, room, board, chance at Pro job.

Many would not get this level of education or any at all without the scholarship.

    Doesn't sound like exploitation!

    Back to the topic,

PUT THE PLAYERS' NAMES BACK ON THE BACK OF THE JERSEYS !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Super impressed with the city. Seems that it was designed for walking and bicycles. WIDE streets, sidewalks, and bike lanes everywhere. Architecture is awesome.

Once you engaged a fan, they were a lot of fun to hang with.

    Top 5:

    RayJay

    Madison

    Notre Dame

    Auburn

    Miami

Ray Jay and Miami? Are you serious. No way either could be ranked ahead of even UCF, and it pains me to say that.

    WHAT??

That UCF erector set tin can should be torn down immediately!

  3. Never knew it was a LIMITED engagement.

Sofa KING Pissed I won't be able to attend!

I will have to send an email Monday.

I am referring to the Signing Day Party.

    Me too.

Called first thing Monday morning to try to get squeezed in NO MAS!

Does anyone have 1 or 2 extra tickets to this.

(I didn't reserve early because 1-Didn't know it was limited, 2- Making sure how many I needed)

  4. I thought the rule goes back to, in college, the opposing team can only get the number of points available on the play to the team with possession, ie 1 point in this case.

Then one could argue that the number of points available was 2 -- as in they had a 2 point conversion available, but they chose to kick--they could have just as well have faked the PAT kick and gone for 2.

    No?

If they did a 2 point conversion, turned the ball over and they ran it back to the opposite end zone they only would get 2 points. In the NFL it would be 6.

No, it wouldn't. In the NFL, any turnover on either an extra point or a two-point conversion is an immediate dead ball. Only the team that just scored a touchdown can score on the PAT in the NFL.

    Correct

    No?

Only 1 point was available for the PAT, since the ball was kicked, and then blocked.

But had a Oregon player picked it up in the backfield and ran it in, it would have been 2 points.

Yes, but the key word you mention and some may miss is the blocked kick must be recovered by the kicking team in their backfield in order to advance into the end zone for 2 points. If recovered past the line of scrimmage it is a dead ball. This happened in a game just a week or so ago, sorry don't remember which, slept since then.

  6. Just for information here is the NCAA rule on this.

RULE 8, SECTION 5, ARTICLE 1. It is a safety when:

    a. The ball becomes dead out of bounds behind a goal line, except from an

incomplete forward pass, or becomes dead in the possession of a player on,

above or behind his own goal line, or becomes dead by rule, and the defending

team is responsible for the ball being there (A.R. 6-3-1-IV; A.R. 7-2-4-I; A.R.

    8-5-1-I-II, IV and VI-VIII; A.R. 8-7-2-II; and A.R. 9-4-1-VIII).

The provision that applies is that the defending team was responsible for the ball being downed in the end zone.

  7. Did our 2 QBs get a chance to beat BJ or did he get it on experience and athletic ability?

I don't think BJ was bad at all.

Just have to wonder if it was coaches or players ... ?

    ??????

His constant throwing it up for grabs into 3 defenders???

    His rainbow passes???

His interceptions in our end of the field with seconds left in the half???

He is an excellent athlete, just needed a coach that could recognize it and play him at wildcat, WR, & h-back where he belonged not QB.
