Day of game purchases and Ticketmaster purchases do not get counted for USF.

The D has performed fairly well during both games.

The O is what is still lacking.  Hopefully it will gel enough for UCF and then continue to get better.

Our D-Line will have to improve a bunch.

Even with McMeese running our LB's and DB's were having to make the takles.  Our DL has to improve or any team with a good running game will give us BIG trouble.

Yes, I know AND I already do.  I HAD to have my USF info AND Hills. Co. High School football info.

Just had this silly thought that the Ledger (maybe) wanted something of interest and quality.

P.S.  Was VERY disappointed that my Polk edition didn't have the Preps preseason special section.  I', only 6 mile into Polk and care more about Hills. County, thats why I subcribe to the Trib.

There is at least one big reason you should travel to UCF and it has nothing to do with us.

BOWLS will judge the loyalty of your fan base around this game and your ticket sales.  YOUR ticket sales will be counted through the USF ticket office.  YOU NEED to sell your allotment to show bowl representatives that you are willing to travel to see YOUR BULLS.  If you don't travel well to a game that is one hour away, then your credibility with bowl officials may suffer.  Not smack but it is a point which needs to be addressed.

All the more reason to buy your tickets through the Athletic Office ALWAYS not Ticket Master.  Ticket Master sales do not get counted as USF sales.

I said this for the Bowl Game, but MANY still bought theirs through Ticket Master.

Its really all about MONEY.

We pay very little for a 1-AA team and keep all the home attendance money, etc.  As we start to have larger attendance it will mean a BUNCH of money.  

Also we do not have to play a return game at their place.  This should allow us to have min. 6 and most times 7 home games in the future.

haha.....he wont catch blackwell.  but that was a different time.

He will have 4 full years of 12 games, possible BE Championship game, Possible Bowl games.

Doesn'thave to throw for 400 yards/game less than 200 yds/game average would do it.

MAYBE now with MG as QB they will start to pay attention.

Oh wait, now that a Polk county/Lakeland player is the QB they will probably cover the Hell out of it.

Can we PLEASE get rid of the QB option out of the shotgun? PLEASE, Rod. PLEASE!

1) it gets QBs killed. (which is fine when Julmiste is in there...)

2) in order for it to work, there must be the THREAT of the RB breaking one. in other words, you have to have already established the run.

3) it forces whoever ends up with the ball to have to make 2-3 defenders miss.....just to get a 2-4 yd gain.

The play calling tonight was pretty much awful. Shocker, I know. And it was laughable that we were afraid to throw the ball in the 1st quarter, backed up deep in our end, on 2nd and 26.

What is so wrong about lining up with a TE and running the ball between the tackles. You know, like a normal football team? Whats so wrong with putting 3 WR out there, 1 TE, and run the ball and throw play action. Let me give you a little tip, Mr Smith. That Grothe guy, he can sell the hell out of a play action play. hint hint hint.

PLease lets hope Rod improves from last year, play calling has been terrible.

And no I'm not a coach at USC, etc., but anyone that has followed football can see right through our play calling.

I think MG gives Rod some more options, MAYBE he will use them!!!

I'm going, but a bunch of the season ticket holders around us are not going.  Other things to do.

But E.T., I gotta wonder about a starting QB letting a thigh bruise take his job away.  Looks like to me he dosen't have wat it really takes!!!!

But MG didn't have them batted.

He made solid decisions and didn't hesitate.

PJ will be a good backup QB and maybe a decent WR/X-Back.

I hope those who think CJL will give PJ another start are wrong.

We don't have extra time, Grothe needs all the experience he can get.

Coach Jim needs to "get over" the "senior loyalty" and think about the future of the team.  And the future starts this week and doesn't include PJ as the starting QB.

He also needs to get over this tantrum with the press.

Grow up, we ned all the good press we can get.

He was showing some nice moves before the injury.

I hope he can return soon, so we can see what he is really like in a game.

A blind man (and our Off. Cord. is blind) can see that PJ gets rattled easily.  He has had 2 years to "get the feel" and hasn't.

He can not throw the long pass, and has no touch on the swing pass, he hesitates on the run (but does run well when he finally decides to.)

Grothe needs the time with the team before we start the real season (that might include UCF, but not certain)
