So long ago I never took a class in Ferguson Hall, it was under construction.  The Sun Dome was also being built then.  And we won't go into the changes on the west side of campus since then.

The NIT seeds were done by a group of retired coaches.  In other words, "I've heard of FSU & Clemson, they should be #1".

The Cuse and Drexel got screwed.  Arkansas got in by their run in the SEC tourney.

I'm looking forward to 2007 as mcuh as anyone, but you cannot properly grade out a recruiting class until their eligibilty is over.  I'm certain we can all point to 5 star recruits who blew out knees or sholders, or got the big head and stopped being coached,  You can also point out the kids who got the 25th scholarship to be "cannon fodder" at practice and became stars.  The facination with 5 star blue chippers is silly.  I'd rather judge on production not potential.

Losing to UCF is the same as if we had lost the bowl to the purple people.  Can't lose to non-BCS teams, especially at home.  

In all not a bad slate.  Root for the baseball league championship series to end early, 10/18 would be against game 7 of one of the series.  If the series is over, we have the whole stage to ourselves.  The other good thing is the only back to back road games are 9 days apart, a little extra rest.

I don't think ESPN hates us, ESPN just doesn't care.  We don't have a bunch of alomni at Bristol like Syracuse or UConn or Rutgers or even Seton Hall.  And we don't have the name brand of a Florida, Miami, Ohio State or USC.  

It was GREAT to see this mention nationally.  It's another step in a long trip to becoming one of those name brands.

By the way, did you notice we have 4 2007 opponents in this list (WVU, RU, UL & Auburn).  If we can hold our own with those, expect these rankings to become normal for our Bulls.

Once again the Big 10 rides tradition and publicity, not actual field play, to rankings.

Glad to see them go 2-5 in bowls.

Great to get the ranking from the writers.  The coaches poll is very disappointing, how Houston gets votes and we get stiffed shows that poll is just coaches or SID's ranking people on wins.

Problem for next year is the usual suspects (Miami, FSU, A & M, Nebraska) that people know will always get ranked in the early season,  The writers and coaches see them as good based on history.  We're going to fight the same battle as Rutgers, and to some extent Louisville, have fought this year.  You are not yet recognized as a football "power" so you get lowballed.

Cure for that is a couple of 10-12 win seansons, starting in 2007.  GO BULLS!!!!

Agree, the way for USF to get respect is for USF to win.

Besides, I really enjoy seeing the overrated Big 10 getting theie @$$ handed to them. ;D
