  1. petrino was mentioned for pro jobs for years

    this is no surprise

usf should now over take louisville in recruiting

    easily

I agree Smazz, not much of a surprise.  Petrino's been looking for greener pastures since he first arrived in the 'Ville.  I'm sure there are a lot of Louisville supporters (myself included) who are glad he's finally moved on so they can get someone in there who really wants to be there and not just using Louisville as a springboard for other jobs.  Again, I hope he crashes and burns in Hotlanta.  He's Michael Vicks next victim.

  2. I wouldn't be suprised if we fling the ball more in 2007-2009.

Matthew will stay so he can eclipse the 10,000 yard barrier  8-)

Matthew's total yards are better than Vick's as a FR. And Donovan McNabb for that matter. AND had more TD's ... and still 1 game remaining.

And I like the Back-to-Back Nat'l Titles and Heisman talk  8-)

Talk is cheap!  How about winning a Big East title next year.

  3. usf bookstore has basketball jerseys that are really nice looking, for only $50, but well worth the money, they come with the #3 only and has Bulls on the front, the jersey is in green.  and i'll be wearing my jersey that i bought at the next game i can go to.

    Thanks for the information.

  4. Whoa BullHonkey, read what I wrote, never said for sure. I said I didn't think he would stay just from what most reports (including Dennis Dodd ofCBS and Ivan Maisel of ESPN) were saying. Included a link

I think at this point, he's gone. But you never know, Steve Spurrier agreed to a deal with the Bucs in 1995, and reneged the next morning. Joe Paterno did the same thing to the Jets in 1977. Coaches change their mind.

When 2-3 outlets are reporting he signed a deal I'm going to tend to believe what they say. I was just giving my opinion from what I read, however did state the above in the end.

I tend to put a more stock in your post compared to most.  After reading your post on this topic I thought for sure rich was heading to alabama.  I am quite pleased that he's staying in the Big East.  You do good work most of the time though.

  5. Right RT...

That Gimmicky offense led Texas to the National Title last year.

That Gimmicky offense let Chris Leak go for 200 and 3 TDs on UT. (not to mention almost 400 total yards on a decent Arkansas defense)

That Gimmicky offense put up 500 yards on UGA in the Sugar Bowl.

I'm really not a big fan of the spread option, but it works.

I would compare the Texas/WVU offense more than I would the UF offense.  What Urban has run in the SEC is definitely not the same as what they were running.  Using what WVU put up on UGA in one game is not a good example.  After about the second quarter, if I remember correctly, UGA was pretty dominant.  So once they got used to it, they shut it down.  Needless to say, SEC defenses would eventually catch on and shut it down too.

    In your dreams.

  6. That "Gimmick" Offense that beat GA last year in the Sugar Bowl ... it's an offense that scores !

ask Urban how well that has worked for him in the SEC week in and week out

he still hasn't fully adjusted his madness, the defense is carrying UF still

UF finished 4th in scoring in the SEC, behind LSU, Arkansas, and Tennessee... that's with UF having the benefit of playing several I-AA caliber programs

I think UF is playing for a national title after winning the sec.  I think Urban's doing just fine in G-ville.  By the way, where's Tenn. playing this bowl season?

  7. No one is running any bad business, as E.T. said, things happen.  Our store is still fairly new and we are doing everything we can to keep everyone happy.  The jerseys were offered practically at cost, $65 for a replica is a great deal.  BullHonkey, is you want to stay away, that is fine.  But I challenge you to come into our store and meet Craig (owner) and I, you will find nothing but two Bulls fans trying to run a business despite personal feelings.  (A love for the BULLS)  We got into this business because we wanted to be in a position to help and promote USF and offer Bulls Fans a cheap and better quality alternative to other BULLS Gear options in our area.   These jerseys were not even ordered until 3 weeks after football season had started because no one even knew Grothe would have been so good.  So, to offer them for Homecoming was extremely accomodating on our part because normally no business would have ever offered that.  We rushed the art and approvals through, putting other things on hold to get them.  Though it didnt happen, that was soley the fault of our vendor, NOT US.  The #1 jerseys that the gentleman mentioned are NOTHING like the #8 jerseys are.  That #1 was printed, the #8's will be tackle twill, three layers, double stitched, one number on front, the two sleeves, and the back.  You can have a custom name added, and the Bulls and Big East is on the front just like the ones the players wear.  If you have any other questions, just ask, instead of assuming.  Just like many of you, I paid my $65 for a preorder as well, and I am still waiting.  We are working to make it right.   We appreciate all of you being patient and continuing to support those who support USF.   They will be worth the wait.  GO BULLS!!

                             -Gurly

Why do you have to point me out, I'm just inquiring.  However, I must say, it sounds like you're passing the buck.  Maybe you should take responsibility instead of blaming the Chinese.  By the way, you never answered my original question- do you think we'll have them by our bowl game or not?
