  1. UCFers want so desperately to be us (USFers).  I didn't realize they were so jealous of us until this week.  They hate us because they want to be us.  My advice to them would be just be themselves, work hard, do the right thing and good things will happen for them.  And stop hating us because were so **** good! ;)  Go Bulls!

  2. We aren't making a big deal over the game because we don't consider ucf to be a big deal.  When Louisville/W.Virginia comes to town, now that will be something to get excited about.  Meanwhile, we'll win this game this weekend and sometime in the 2nd half, we'll start thinking about our Big East match up the following week with Louisville.  Simply put, we don't really care.  This is a tune up game for when the season really gets started next week.

  3. Agreed my friend.  We are indeed on the same page.

Because they won't play us every year.  It was hard enough to get on UF's schedule for 2 games in Gainesville... they won't come to Tampa.  Miami may or may not make the return trip.

Why don't we build a rivalry with Southern Cal, Notre Dame, Texas, Ohio State, .... the list of good programs that we would LOVE to play is a mile long.

    Beggars can't be choosers.

  4. Finally a voice of reason!!!  Well said.

Something that was very clear for along time is being reprinted in the media.  Is there a little more excitement for this game then say Buffalo or Tenn Tech, sure ,  but in no way is this on the plate for USF to be some type of rivalry.  I don't know of any real rival games except between peers in the BCS schools.  Are there any BCS vs Non-BCS famous rivialry games ?  If I were in UCFs shoes I would be bitter about what happened and this game would mean alot to me if UCF could win.  Thank god I'm not and USF got the invite to the BE.

  5. The following article supports my position that a USF vs. ucf rivalry would be of no real benefit to USF.  Based on UCF mismanagement and lack of success, they are not worthy of a annual game with USF and therefore, any association with them, by us only detracts from our goal of building a prominant athletics program.  Read the article and weep ucf fans :'(.

Why not build a rivalry with Miami or UF?  Those are the teams we have designed our program after.

  6. biggest game on MY TEAM'S SCHEDULE?!? i'm a bulls fan, but obviously you didnt take the time to analyze the post.. honestly, i dont care if they are 0-17.. yes, they suck, but so does FAMU.. if you were to ignorant to read the post, the basis of my argument was that the rivalry between UCF and USF transcends football.

Easy Cee.  I admit I didn't read closely enough.  I apologize my friend.  I do HumbleBully disagree though.  I was simply baiting.  Go Bulls!

  7.    We USF fans have far superior competition to look forward to than ucf.  Why should I be pumped about an 0 and 16 team coming to town?  The fact is there is no legitimate reason to take your team or your post seriously.  ucf football sucks, I for one don't want a great University like USF to be associated with ucf in that way (rivalry).

I do however understand that this is by far the biggest game on your teams schedule, so I do understand why it is you get so excited.  USF football has a way of making people excited.

As for a natural rivalry because of our similarities in size, age, etc. that's nonsense.  That is your desperation talking.  You can't connect with us athletically so you try regional similarities.  How pathetic.

The fact is, there is a big four in this State and ucf is not included.  Emotionally, I'm sure that hurts.  However, the sooner you gentlemen deal with it, the sooner you can focus on finding your own identity.

This is of course just on man's HumbleBull opinion!

  8. So what type of resume does Jim Leavitt have.  He has gotten everything a new coach could get to start a program.  He had money, he had conference affiliaiton, he has the best NFL stadium around and what, no 1-aa playoffs, no rankings, no bowls.  He has been at USF for eight years and his teams are getting worse, not better.

MORON!  Dude, you obviously don't know football.  Stick to riding your little pony.  Leave the serious football discussion to the men.

  9. The difference between being at the top of the conference and being on bottom could very well be determined by our special team play.  We're not dominant enough to blow good teams out.  Therefore, if we continue to play special teams like we have, we'll be lucky to win 4 games this year.  Maybe equally as important is our teams lack of discipline and self control as they pertains to penalties. CJL has failed miserably in this department.  Not enough criticism is aimed at CJL, who is ultimately responsible.  What say you?
