Does this look like thug "U" to you?

I think Jorge is the LOW LIFE, and a garbage reporter.  The CANES have not had one player since 1998 or 99, get in trouble while in school.  Yes, there are suspensions for minor violations and Coker is taking care of things and not letting anything get out of hand.

The Ponder incident has nothing to do with the school but a private matter within the family.  It was stupid for his aunt to act that way, Lavon did nothing.

The shooting incident had more to do with being attacked and defended than a player out of control.  I am sure there will be something done about having a weapon.

Oklahoma just suspended some players as did some other teams but there is no garbage reporting about that.

  2. Actually, playing D-1AA teams do detract from a team trying to get into a better bowl.  The S.o.S. is supposedly not being used but how many sportcasters with votes have you heard talking about easy schedules and why they couldn't vote for a team, because they played a cream puff schedule?

With USF playing two 1AA's in a row gives the BULLS no credibility, when they come in with a 7-5 or 8-4 record.  I know Louisville has gotten away from scheduling 1-AA's and the CANES try their best not to but they have problems of teams not wanting to give them home and home games and have to fill in open dates sometimes.

Central Florida, O'Leary to announce 10-year dealESPN.com news services

Central Florida wants to lock up Conference USA coach of the year George O'Leary for the long term.

George O'Leary guided UCF to its first bowl appearance last season.

O'Leary and the school have agreed to a new 10-year contract, a source close to the coach told ESPN's Joe Schad on Wednesday.

O'Leary has orchestrated one of the biggest turnarounds in college football, leading once hapless Central Florida (8-5) to its first ever postseason appearance, a loss to Nevada in the Hawaii Bowl.

OLeary, who is in the third year of a five-year contract, was seeking a deal in the range of $1 million a year. The new contract will be announced at a news conference Thursday.

The Golden Knights snapped what was the nation's longest Division I-A losing streak at 17 games. They went on to win eight of their next nine before losing to Tulsa 44-27 in the Conference USA championship game in front of a record home crowd of 51,978.

He got his dream job at Notre Dame in 2001, only to resign a week later after his resume was questioned. His claims of having a master's degree in education and being a three-year college player at New Hampshire were ultimately proved untrue.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Canes inking series with K-State, spurned by Irish, 'Horns

After scheduling talks fell apart on a potential home-and-home with Miami/Notre Dame or Miami/Texas, it appears as if the Hurricanes are about to sign a home-and-home agreement with Kansas State.

No exact word on why the Texas series fell apart, but UT is inking a deal with Central Florida.

Rumor on the Notre Dame series is that the Irish wanted Miami in South Bend & a return game in Jacksonville, rather than the Orange Bowl.
