  1. I never ruled out anything before 1919, Red Sox fans have.  I know and have talked with many, many Sox fans and they are the ones that only acknowledge post 1918.  They may have changed their tunes over the last week, but before that they acted like it didn't matter that they won 5 title pre 1918.  Babe Ruth was on the Sox then so I guess they hated him before they traded as well.  So, whenever the Yankees don't win the Series they choked?  Right? Whatever...?  Tell that to Bill Masarowski, or Sandy Koufax, or Bob Gibson, or the Big Red Machine.  They have lost more WS than the Sox have even played in.  That in itself is amazing.  If they choked than you are obviously admitting that the Yankees were the better team, underdogs never choke, they just come up short.  The difference is Yankees fans know how to handle winning and losing the big game, Sox fans don't.

  2. I am not in denial of anything.  It is 26-1 since the curse was brought into play.  Smazza is right, the sawx will have to win many more championships before everyone in the country thinks of them as perennial winners.  Try winning a division once in a while.  In the last 86 years they still haven't won as many WS as the Marlins, Twins, Reds, A's, Cardinals, Giants, Blue Jays, Orioles, Indians, Tigers, Mets, Braves, Pirates, Dodgers and the Yankees.  Every dog has its day, this year it just happened to be a dirty, hairy, less than intelligent dog.  But, Sox fans should enjoy it, it was a great run.  History is history and you can't deny that.

  3. The Red Sox have choked a million more times than any other sports team of any kind.  26-1 isn't as good as 26-0, but it still counts as domination in anyones book.  They just scored one late and avoided the shutout.  The Babe got tired, throwing zeros up there for 86 years would tire anyone out.  I think he's got another streak to throw at the idiots starting real soon.

Comparing the Bulls to the idiots is rediculous.

  4. Craig Smith is a 1st team all BE player and he is a 6'6" PF.  If this guy is half the player Smith is I will be happy.

You cannot underestimate the presence of muscle down low in the college game.  Most of the big men are very slight of build.  Smith always is up against guys 2-5 inches taller than him and excels.  He was not highly recruited and is a great, great player.   Give Mobley a chance, lets see what he has before we jump to conclusions.

  5. Dmince,

That has to be the most ludicrous post of the year.  I don't really care what lubrication you & Seth use when you get together(I assume the Sheriff brings it).  HE IS NOT OUR COACH AND I/WE DON'T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT HIM!!

Also, I feel very sorry for you or anyone you know who considers SG to be your MENTOR.  This is the same guy who curses out and just about goes into the stands after Some of his own schools fans.  (Memphis game 2 years ago.)  The guy is a lunatic on the sidelines whenever he is in a pressure situation.

I loved Coach Mac's comments the other day about how he is having to undo what had gone on the past few years.  i.e. NO DISCIPLINE.  On and off the court.

  6. Rutgers is 3-31 in its last 34 road conference games.  Not a big shock.

Also, Sheriff, We all know you suck Seth's ass in your free time.   Most of us don't like the guy.  He killed our program and i'm sure USF won't be his only hatchet job.  So, keep your Seth loving to yourself!

  7. Seth Greenberg is a horrible coach and a selfish bastard.  He only looks out for himself and the betterment of his career, which sucks.  What kind of person/coach goes looking for another job, after one bad season at his new job, shows how much he cares for his players.
