  1. Louis Orr is in the mold of Tony Dungy, just too laid back and nice to ever get his team to the next level.  He lacks the fire and passion to get a consistant effort game in and game out from his team.  He also didn't recruit many mainstream NYC players and refused to bring in a local recuiter as an assistant.  The Hall needs a Jay Wright-esque type coach and they can stay in the top half of the BE on a consistant basis.

  2. Seton Hall won 9 games in the BE which will get you in every time, I don't care what your RPI is.  Comparing them or Cincy to a team like Missouri St. is rediculous.  The best team in the MVC would maybe win 5-6 games in the BE.  Hell, I would take Rutgers or UL over any team from the Valley.

  3. I have seen James play a few times and he has similar qualities to Andre Hall.  He has good instincts and is great at finding holes.  He is also very tough to bring down.  With that being said, I don't really like what I've seen from Ponton.  Straight ahead runners are great if you are a FB, but he just doesn't find holes unless they are huge.  Our O-line isn't good enough to part the red sea on every play.  Ponton should be a LB with the body he has.  You also need moves to catch passes out of the backfield which he does not posses.

  4. A good game tonight by the Bulls.  The only problem I see is 7 TOs by Capko.  His number 1 priority should be to protect the ball and he can't do that.  Great game by Jones, and Mattis and Richardson off the bench.  Cann's knee is a ticking time bomb, I don't know if he will ever be a consistant contributer.

  5. They have to keep up their "gangsta" or "thug" image.  I graduated a few years ago and while at USF my friends and I came to realization that at least 80% of the football players have 0% percent in common or act like a normal USF student in their age range.  They are the kind of guys that you would be scared to meet in a dark ally.  As has been said before, they have no discipline on the field, why would anyone expect them to act or look civilized when they represent the university.  Don't get me wrong, some of the players are no doubt great guys that are proud to represent USF, but most of them are not normal college students who happen to play football.  It is just something that has to be lived with.

  6. The reality is that Pat needs all the snaps he can get.  If we had a stud QB who could come out when the game is in hand, that would be great, but we don't.  I don't think it matters because Carlton Hill is not going to be our starting QB, barring injury.  He is an athlete first, a QB second.  We need someone who is a QB first and an athlete second.  Grothe or Gregory are the best bet.  Why do you think Grothe is redshirting?  Come the spring both of those guys will know the offense and will have had enough practice time to compete.  My biggest problem is that the coaches keep bringing in athletes to play QB, not QBs to play QB.  Alwan Lee, Denson, Gatchette even Julmiste are all bad recruiting moves unless they had other positions lined up for them, but told them they could play QB just so they would sign.
