Since our first road game is less than two weeks away, I thought I'd get the information out concerning watch parties.  They are going to run a little differently this year as demands on staff to travel have increased, we won't necessarily have a representative there.  We'll still supply each location with USF stuff to hand out though.  Here are the locations.  There may be others that I may not be aware of so if you are having one say in Arizona, Philadelphia or Detroit,  post them here.
Clubhouse Sports Cafe
Temple Terrace
Hosted by:  Student Bulls Club
Lee Roy Selmon's Restaurant

We are confirming that Lakeland is having one and I will post that information as soon as we have it.  Please help spread the word.  Go Bulls!

I'd put 99.99% of our cheerleaders up against 99.99% of the people on this board when it comes to knowledge of USF athletics.  Believe me they not only know their football and basketball, but they know the sports and they know the student-athletes. ;D
Little thing on the push up board, the co-ed squad still does the push up board.  The all-girl squad does tucks when we score.  Let's just see a repeat of the turnout of the students with their spirit on Saturday again.

I think right now my favority player to watch is Marcus Edwards. I was impressed with him last year and was again yesterday. When he's on the field, he gets open. When they throw the ball to him, he catches it. He just seems to be a go to type of receiver when you need a big play ie. a 47 yard touchdown pass. He isn't as flashy as Ean but I like to watch him play.

I thought the student section looked great last night. The Bullies (SBC) and Studs sat together in the northwest section in the endzone and set a tone. Great job by our students. Let's do it again next week.

It is my understanding that the president of the Beef Studs and SBC have been talking about working together. The Beef Studs president has said he'd like every Beef Stud to join SBC. The two have very common goals. I think because of SBC's relationship to the AThletic Department, they are perhaps a little more involved and passionate about the whole athletic program while the Beef Studs just haven't had the same exposure. I'd love to have 40 Beef Studs painted up and 300 Bullies (SBC Members) sitting together at games to create an intense student section.
SBC has also recently met with the cheerleaders to talk about working together on cheers all in the name of creating atmosphere in the student section for all games. The cheerleaders may even be joining SBC. I applaud the Beef Stud president (I'm sorry I don't know his name) and the SBC President (Mat Ratner, he's on the board) for at least communicating with each other and trying to work together. I think that's in the best interest of our student environment at USF.

I have to interject on this topic as I am a graduate of Central Michigan. In what would have been the biggest win in school history (only because it was on national tv, we beat Michigan State two years in a row in the early 90's that are bigger but weren't televised) the coach lost that game for them. Fourth and 8 on your own 25 and you go for it with 3 mintutes to go in the first half down 7.
Then you get back to within 7 because your quarterback is playing awesome, your defense causes a turnover deep in BC territory and you bring in another quarterback who fumbles it back to BC.
And then driving with 1:30 to go at the BC 30 to tie the game and you call the "swinging gate" is what I think they called it. I couldn't believe. Thanks for letting me vent about the Chippewas.

Lot 6D is on the south side of the stadium directly across the street from the stadium in the center. We serve ice cream up until 6:30 or until supplies last. We usually don't run out until right around then so to be safe stop by a little before 6 p.m.

Lord willing, very, very shortly.  Because if it isn't, I might have to jump off the roof of the Sun Dome (yeah, it's my project, don't blame Soncrant).  Just getting through the final red tape and last technical glitches right now. ÂÂ
I think you'll like it when it's up, and it'll be updated frequently enough to make you want to check back in often. ÂÂ
i'm not blaming anyone, i was just curious.  i can't wait to see it. ÂÂ
I am ! Not just ice cream Zonald, all the toppings too! Chocolate, caramel, sprinkles, whip cream, cherries, nuts, etc. But we know the main reason you'll be by is to see us!

For those of you that attend the games, make sure to stop by the Bulls Club tents on your way into the stadium. We are located in Lot 6D. Your reason for stopping...other than to say hi to me...complimentary ice cream sundaes (while supplies last), shakers, poms, and other give aways.
You don't have to be a Bulls Club donor to take part. But if you show up and we find out you aren't a donor, we'll make sure to give some information.
Hope to see you there. Ice cream arrives aroun 4;30 p.m.

As curious as I am to see this video I think it is probaby best for my professional career that I NOT request permission to have access to the Dumbgeon. But if someone puts out a cliff notes version let me know.

They haven't decided as of yet.

Umm.....don't really know how to reply to Bloomtown. Away game tickets will be mailed separately as they are not in our posession as of yet. My absence from the office is to be in Italy with about a dozen donors who paid to go on the trip. I'll have access to my email and cell phone there so if someone desperately needs to get a hold of me they can, but I won't be on the message board during that time. Collin can take care of any general questions.

Most of you should receive your season tickets in the mail over the next day or two. If you don't receive your's it may be because you haven't paid your annual Bulls Club contribution. If you think this might be the case remember....DON'T PANIC. Just call the Bulls Club at (813) 974-7490. I will not be in the office from August 11-23 so feel free to speak with someone else. Thanks everyone.

We sent two people over there today to meet with the TD Waterhouse Center and it sounds like they will be able to handle it. It sounds like this is a normal set up for them, not just for our game. So I don't think that will be an issue.

Eric, thanks to all the hard work you do keeping us lazy Bulls fans up to date!
Believe me when I say this is one of the easier parts of my job. At least up until you guys start one of those other topics that blow up on a daily basis. ;D

The tailgate is $35 for adults, children between the ages of 5-12 will be $12.50 and children under the age of 5 will be free. As you can see, we do listen to you guys some times by making it more affordable for the kids which has been a huge complaint. Also, it will now have beer and wine complimentary, also a complaint. The UCF tailgate will be outside under a tent.
So if you are driving over yourself and already have tickets, the breakdown goes a little something like this:
Parking $5
Tailgate $35 per adult over the age of 12.
Spending time with your Bulls Club Staff.....Priceless. (Sorry, couldnt' resist)
Remember to sign up for any of the tailgates, head over to the Alumni Association website.

Just a personal comment here because this thread was started my a McNeese fan. In my almost 20 years of working in college athletics, McNeese was the most enjoyable road trip I've ever made with a football team. There fans told us straight up we'll be nice before and after the game but during it's war. Just the way it should be. When I was at UMaine, we played them in the first round of the I-AA playoffs and as I walked through their tailgate lots with the Maine Cheerleaders just about every one of them welcomed us, offered us some wonderful southern treats (I couldn't bring myself to try crawfish though, after all I am a true northerner). So as a favor to me if you see any McNeese fans down here for that game, return the favor for me. Go Bulls!

That is still the current the donor chart. The only difference is Emerald Bull is now called Iron Bull.

A couple of things. Those that take the bus over from Tampa will have transportation from the tailgate to the stadium on the same bus they came over for. Everyone else, if you park at the TD Waterhouse Center, there is a $5 charge to park there but that includes a city operated shuttle that will take you to and from the game. A pretty nice deal if you ask me.
On the Lakeland issue, I'll bring that up this week and see if there is a place to do this at. Perhaps if there is enough interest we can just do a separate bus but as of now there is no plans. Call me if you'd like to help organize this with us (813) 974-3481.

Love the effort on Bulls Country. We included Bob and Bulls Country in the Around the Horns this year to try and help his efforts. Our tailgates at road games should have a Bulls Country feel to them this year as well. Great job you guys.
And there is still a CDB's right by the main campus. Their pizza is amazing but painful.

why doesnt football program help out
That basically can be summed up with the old quote robbing peter to pay Paul. The cheerleaders are financed by athletics in the same manner all the other sports are, just with not as much money. All of our sports do fundraisers, including football, do help augment their budget. This is one way that the cheerleaders pay for their competition, practice gear, signs, flags, etc. Their budget can't cover all of their needs. They are in a similar position as the band just not to the extreme (50 students versus 200 students).
They are trying to get creative to do some of the things they would like to do to advance their program. Both squads this year are improved over last year and have a great shot at nationals. They need your support, just as the band, Rocky, and the SunDolls do. So pick your favorite and make a gift or spread it over them all.
Let me know if you have any questions.

I think everyone did leave around 5 p.m. yesterday. Call the 1-800 number on Monday and they will be there. Thanks everyone and see you soon.

We'll keep selling tickets on the bus package until we can't find any more buses. There really is no limit. I'd love to see 20 buses roll off of campus at 9:00 a.m. that Saturday. That would be 1,000 people heading east.
