  1. Unfortunately it's exactly how I imagined it would be.  They put these "huge" screens in and fill a third of them with ads.  The actual video portion was probably only about double the size it used to be (it pretty much doubled in height).  I've been saying since they announced what they were doing that they were cheaping out on the whole thing.  Comparing to some of the boards that have been put in at other recently remodeled stadiums the boards are small.  They keep touting the total screen area in the stadium but it's broken up all over the place, in the corners, ribbons, boards at both ends.  If they did it right they should've filled the space in the endzones or at least come close to it.

  2. We just got word that Lot 14 (old Mall lot for those of you that have been around a long time) is closed for USF games now.  We really liked that lot because our group could come at any time and all park together and we could spread out and pretty much take up as much space as we wanted.  Anyone have any other options for lots like that wher we don't have to all line up as we come in to be able to park with each other?  One where we're not restricted to 10 square feet behind our parking space?

I think I agree with what you said there, but that still doesn't mean UCF winning tonight will give the conference any added credibility.

Which is my point, and the point of the turd comment.  A win does nothing to the credibility of the conference.

I remember the Big East getting big bowl wins year after year and it never improved the perception of the conference.  The media machine will not allow it, so we need our own media machine.

Who got those wins and what conference are they in now?

I don't understand how West Virginia and Louisville winning BCS games and then leaving the Big East backs up your argument that UCF winning would be a positive for the conference.

Also, those bowl game wins had zero (or very, very, very close to zero) to do with those teams getting invited to better conferences.

Exactly.  The teams that have left didn't leave because they won one bowl game.  They left because of many different factors that made them attractive to the conferences that stole them away.
