Being an engineering student in the 90's with a hectic class schedule I didn't have time to smell the roses.  I do recall the jail style concrete block dorms and stepping on the sand burrs while trekking across campus. It's amazing to see the transformation of the campus over the years, there is so much more elaborate and well laid out landscaping plus all the new buldings and more construction in progress.  Makes me proud of my USF heritage.

    Mechanical Engineering class of 93

lots of engineers on this board.

I have given up on any playoff hopes this year. Why even bother to discuss the possibility only to be disappointed?  Lets focus on winning the AAC and a NY6 bowl and call it a day. 2019 and 2020 will be our best change for crashing the playoffs.

We may have to look at this year as a resume builder for the next round of expansion when and if that happens.

This team has been fun to watch!  Let’s enjoy every game and hopefully we will be undefeated at the end of the season.  Go Bulls!!

Acoording to this site,  winning out will gives us only a 5% chance to make the playoff.

2 loss P5 teams like Oregon,  Texas, Texas AM, Miss St all have better chances of making the playoff if they win out.   #LifeintheG5.

The unknown is the chaos factor that jolted us to number 2 in 2007....teams ahead of us losing.  Hoping for more of that this year.  Anything can happen!

Still lots to play for.  First undefeated season, top 10 finish,  conf title, NY6 bowl, national spotlight etc...

  4. Anyway to get the camera to show the home sides with the primary cameras?

The current setup makes it look like no one is at the game.  Makes it a hard sell for casual or on the fence fans to want to go to the games.

Switch to the other side.  At least it will make it look better attended.  The atmosphere will look more inviting.  Hopefully,  making them feel like they are missing out on the experience.

I know that this may not be possible with the Bucs,  TSA etc..., but just a thought.

I think CP was just expressing his opinion way after the fact. What I heard was that MH told those here that if you're going to fire him, do it now so he could go forward with a coach hunt. Can't believe that MH was that stupid to have brought something like that on himself when he first got here. My guess is CSH would have gotten the one more year to see how it went.

    You must have a life.

Lol.  Life has definitely become busier over that span,  but I definitely get my time in with TBP.  I just don't post as frequently as most.

True .... but what's the relevancy to the statement that "Harlan did not fire Heath"?

I should have quoted the original article where Perry suggests that Harlan was behind the firing.

“Coach Heath was on the right track, but when we got (athletic director Mark Harlan), he was big on changing things when he got there, so out the window that went basically.”

woohoo 1000 posts - only took me 14 years ;-)

SI suggests that the quietness surrounding the #USF men's opening has led some to speculate AD Mark Harlan has already found his next coach. twitter.com/SIPeteThamel/s…

USF: The NCAA issues that Orlando Antigua left behind at USF are not expected to impact the quality of candidate the Bulls should be able to lure. This job has been very quiet, which has led some in the industry to speculate that athletic director Mark Harlan has already found his coach. There’s a chance of a lateral name popping up here as well. Minnesota’s Richard Pitino is one possibility, along with Seton Hall’s Kevin Willard and former Alabama coach Anthony Grant. Monmouth’s King Rice, Florida Gulf Coast’s Joe Dooley, Chattanooga’s McCall and Forbes could all fit. Miami assistant Chris Caputo makes sense if the school attempts the high-major assistant route again.
