Eagles see double trouble in Bulls backfield By Tim Doherty The Clarion-Ledger HATTIESBURG  Another week, another dangerous running back. So it goes for the Southern Miss defense. Thing is, the Golden Eagles will be facing a two-headed beast come Saturday evening when USM (2-0, 1-0 Conference USA) visits South Florida (2-1, 1-0) at 6 p.m at Raymond James Stadium. The Golden Eagles had known about USF senior Clenton Crossley, who gained 441 yards and averaged 5.2 yards a carry last season while sharing backfield duties with the now-departed DeJuan Green. But in last week's 45-44 double overtime victory at TCU, the Bulls unleashed a junior college transfer, Andre Hall, who rolled over the Horned Frogs for 119 yards and three touchdowns, while posting another 65 yards and a touchdown on four receptions. "They've got two good backs," USM middle linebacker Dillon Cleckler said. "We've been watching them on the tape, and they're both good." http://www.clarionledger.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20041001/SPORTS030104/410010336
