  1. BA...I will take you up on this offer.  I have men's hoops and being a sexiest consider female basketball inferior...jk sort of.  I know these girls are supposed to be worth watching and am willing to check them out.  I will offer two basketball tickets (right behind opposition bench) for someone who has not been to a men's game to a game I cannot make in return.

    Cool idea.

  2. He seems to get it. Two hires that are very promising and a good job of reaching out to donors and holding people accountable. Not sure what more you want from the guy in such a short time. Also some nice additions to the football schedule already as well. Marketing has been better already and the Bulls Club improvements (more communication) including the alumni tailgate have been very good so far.

It was a "bones under the Sun Dome" reference.

The only senior on the Bulls basketball squad, Johnson had appealed to the NCAA for a sixth year of eligibility after missing the better part of two seasons because of two knee injuries.

The appeal was denied Thursday, ending a roller-coaster five-year college career.

[...] After a solid freshman year at Virginia, Johnson transferred to USF and sat out the transfer year. In November 1996, when he was allowed to practice with the team, Johnson tore his left anterior-cruciate ligament and was out the rest of the season. [...]

The next year, Johnson started 28 of 30 games and had his most productive season, averaging 12 points and 5.2 rebounds and hitting 47 three-pointers.

But on Nov. 24, 1998, two games into his third collegiate year, Johnson tore his right ACL. [...]

Last season, he averaged 8.7 points and 4.1 rebounds for the Bulls, who were 17-14 and lost 64-58 to the New Mexico in the opening round of the National Invitation Tournament. In the final seconds of that game, Johnson severly injured his ankle scrambling for a loose ball.

Ouch. Sounds very painful.  Wonder where he is now...

He is still in the area. I see him at his work once in a while..he still looks like he could play and still cares about the Bulls, but I try not to bother him about it too much lol.

  4. " Next Years Tickets"  will be a tuff sell and have little to know value unfort.      (Im still buying mine) but question myself every time I make a payment.

Harlan Please fix this mess soon.   We need something soon or their wont be anyone there to see it when it does turn around.

Agree with this.  Did the monthly payment plan then was grumpy every month it hit my account.  If and I do mean if I get them again next year I will do it in one shot like a band aid.  I will not stop donating and love my basketball tickets, but could see giving up the football tickets and just going to games when I feel like it.

I hate the fact this is our "rivalry" and big game now. I will never attend another game there and can't believe how far we have fallen. We used to laugh at the idea of this game.

I don't blame Harlan but man I wish we had bigger goals in mind.

USF was fortunate, perhaps lucky to be in the position they were in in the first place with being such a young football program.  A lot of things had to come together for it to happen so fast.  Maybe it's part of the reason that the bottom fell out and the Bulls have had trouble recovering since.  USF was never above playing UCF, just like the reverse is true now.

Everyone has bigger goals in mind but start by winning the American, or finishing above .500 in the Big East/American (hasn't been done since 2007)

I actually agree with you for the most part. Never felt we we above it, just that we were worried about trying to compete in a real conference with traditional programs and were not going all out in the marketing department to try to generate hype for a crappy game to try to finish in the middle of the pack of a terrible conference.  We were indeed fortunate and the tables have turned.
