While I don't believe smoking the buddha is any worse than having a beer, it is according to the law and that's what counts. Unfortunately, these guys new the rules, had already used their one get out of jail free card, and smoked again. Hopefully they learn a lesson from this one.

USF vs. the rest of our schedule = toast too......
He spanked us all night long. Let him know that he worked hard and his effort will pay off on Sundays.
-
He is creating discussion amongst you, securing his job.
-
If you do, please send me a private message. I am out of town and need to be able to watch the game on ESPN 360.
Thanks

Dline can improve and hopefully will. Their QB made some nice runs and he is a good, but not great athlete. Pat White will turn most of those 5-7 yd runs into big gainers. Hopefully Josh Julmiste will be back shortly and light it up, on the field that is.

I was actually in there on Tuesday. Cheap stuff, for sure -- T-shirts at like $6.98. And no, Sheriff, I didn't buy anything from any school ...
You're lying Greg, I saw you leaving with a Garnet and Gold t-shirt. ;D

Hook up brother ub Bulliever.

Unfortunately I am out of town or the following childish act would have to be done prior to the tailgate. The WFTS studio is located on Himes just East of the stadium. I would toilet paper the hell out of the studio and tape posters of USF saying thanks for sticking with the hometown team.
Unfortunately, they are in the business of making money and obviously the ND GT game will have higher ratings. So from a business perspective I can see why they did that. Either way, to announce they are airing us and then to say they are not looks entirely unprofessional on their part and is a slap in the face to the USF community.

Awesome news, just wish the @ NCSU was in 2007 because I will definitely still be in NC next fall.

can kohn help us land this kid?
Kohn was at winter park near Orlando. This kid attends the same high school that grothe did. It is in the Lakeland area.
-
Buying this land would be a very expensive project. Even if we did ever purchase the land, I would much rather see an OCS built on the current campus land.
Personally I think the school should continue to build larger vertically than to keep expanding land wise. If the school gets any larger land wise an elevated train system would be needed to get to and from places.

Sweet. This info made my day.

who is high point?
why isnt site of big eats tourney determined yet?
people need to make plans! ;D
High Point is a small school in NC.

Lelo seens to be doing a great job in recruiting. Locking up the top local talent is key to us making it to Omaha.
Now if some big dollars can speed up the construction of a new Red.
-
Play UCF. Game generates fan interest and eliminates a 1-aa.
-
That would be awesome if this game is available on gameplan for us out of towners.
-
That made my day.

Our game vs KU listed as #3 toughest OOC game in Big 12.
http://www.collegefootballnews.com/Big_12/2006_Previews/2006_Big12_Top5s.htm
3. South Florida at Kansas, Sept. 23
Points will be hard to come by. This is a nasty game for KU to deal with coming off a road trip to Toledo.

Congrats Mike.

USF would look foolish to act arrogant and swell.
If they want the game PLAY UM.  EVERY SINGLE STINKIN YEAR.  We have nobody else to play out of conference.  It is better then having McNesse State on the stupid schedule.
All this poster board talk about us thinking we are big time makes me nervous.  We could very well get beat by these guys this year.  I am starting to get worried about this game now.
If the game draws 45K then it is a hit.  Play it every single year.
We aren't better then anyone at this point. ÂÂ
No Con Titles.
No Bowl Wins
No Top 25 Ranking
NOTHING
Nobody is out of our league on the D-1 level at this point.
If they want a piece--- lets play!
Agree entirely with you Ari. The holier than thou attitude shown by some reminds me of a school to the north. We were .500 last year and have major ?s again on offense along with a young DLine. I am optimistic that we will be good this year, but we are by no means head and shoulders above UCF.
I also have to admit that the tailgate vs UCF was one of the funnest I have ever been to. This adds to me hoping we place this game for awhile.
-
Play both of them if we can. Having both Miami and UCF on our schedule every year is advantageous for us. As a member of the Big East, our conference away games are not road trip friendly. This gives fans a chance to make a short drive to see an away game. It also minimizes our matchups against the McNeese States of the world, which directly translates into more tickets sold.
Secondly, playing these schools gives us extra media attention in two of the larger metropolitan areas in FL. In College football few teams are able to recruit the top dogs from other states. Thus, you must be able to land the big dogs from your own turf if you wish to succeed. Beating a Miami or UCF in their home stadium is not only demoralizing, but can help give us a boost in recruiting that area.
Play em both is my motto.

I have nothing against soccer, but i don't feel it will ever be bigger than any of the big 4 sports in america.  Hockey was at its lowest ever after the lockout, and I'd bet it still blew soccer out of the water as far as popularity in the USA. ÂÂ
Now in the entire world... soccer wins hands down.  It is a fun game to play and watch, but as long as kids games are "for fun only" and don't keep score, most kids won't play soccer because it is exciting, but rather because their parents want them to exercise.  I will never understand how people can organize a soccer league for kids and then not keep track of scores.  "We are all winners, Johnny"
"But Dad, we lost by 10"  "There are no losers Johnny"
Its scary to think what all this politically correct crap is doing to the kids self esteem.  I can't see how it could really help.
Sorry for the change of subject.
Thanks for your reasons.
As a youth I never played in a league that did not keep score. Whether it was baseball, soccer, basketball, etc the score was always kept and their was indeed a winner. If there are leagues where the score is not kept than I think that is pretty stupid. Obviously you want to develop things such as teamwork and good sportsmanship among the youth, but the point is to win.

If we don't average 40K a game it will be a disappointment imho. We have enough students, alumni, and fans that the lower bowl should be filled every game.

I was spanking my peter while you guys were watching soccer... I'm sure I didn't miss much. I got more enjoyment spanking it then Sweden did tying T&T.
What a horrible sport...
Mattie Gunz... you only have one flaw that I can think of buddy... **** soccer...
Hahah You crack me up man.
For Terry and the rest of you that hate soccer that is an opinion you are entitled to. I'm also entitled to express my opinion, and that is to tell all of you to F off who don't like soccer.
To kill some time here while the board is dead, please offer up your reasons for not liking the game?
USF Not Likely To Play UCF After '08

Who the hell wants to see us play Buffalo, Ball State, and WKY. If we don't continue the UCF series to play these teams then Doug Woolard should take a pay cut to help make-up the revenue reductions from lost ticket wages. We already struggle to draw fans, and this type of scheduling is horrible.
I'm excited to see the "USF is a bunch of P*$$ies" signs on Sat. at the Citrus Bowl.
I had to check the link to make sure this wasn't a joke.
At least Trae Williams was honest. There is no reason not for us to play. We need a rival in our state. For those of you who think that UF, FSU, or UM will ever view us as their top rival, you're living in a pipe dream.
Doug, please say it ain't so.
