Can you wear a head cam and we'll stream your season adventures like Rodney Adams vlogs?  With a little production we can complete with Amazon's All or Nothing.

I remember having tailgating beers in B'ham, Bulls vs. Bama.  With the Sheriff.  Remember that?  No video. :)

I remember Bham. Ahhhhh.....The positive of living in the pre-everyone had a video camera in their hands days.

USFNYC is hosting a tailgate before the game starting at 9:30AM. There's a $15 fee which gets you bacon, eggs, pastries, mimosas, and beer.

Some of our members based in Connecticut are getting to the stadium early to setup while a bus full of NYC-based members will get there around 10.

You can also pull up the same available seat view for season tickets as well.  You can maybe compare the two views to see if your theory holds.

Unfortunately, the season ticket viewer only allows you to see the individual seats of one section at a time (the others are shown as a solid color). Nonetheless, your idea helped significantly.

As I clicked through the different sections I noticed a similarity:   all showed entire/nearly entire rows with unsold seats.  Further examination showed a unique pattern of each section alternating the unfilled rows.  For example, Going left to right across the E side of the stadium,  section 232 shows a complete row in Row R,  in 233 Row S is shown sold , however. 234 Row T is shown as available, 235 Row U is available, 236 Row V is available......

This is either one heck of a coincidence, or my hypothesis is gaining strength.

  4. After reading the crappy season ticket sales story, I went on ticketmaster to look at lower level seats available for the Stony Brook game. Interestingly, there aren't many  seats shown as available.  See the tiny blue dots in the image below.

The lower bowl holds around 42,000. Excluding the student section and the ~14k season tickets, simple math says that there has to be more seats available than shown. Either that, or we've done incredibly well in single game sales, but don't count me as a Fake Newser who believes Joey Knight would leave that out of the story.

My question to the former USF Athletics Staff members on the site is:

Does USF purposely limit the supply of tickets shown in hopes of making customers think they might miss out if they don't buy now?

    Thanks,

    Go Bulls

  5. Guys,

If FSU offered Taggart, he'd be in Tallahassee as fast as I would be if I won the powerball.

    Let's think about.

    1. He grew up an FSU fan.

    2. He left his alma mater for a "greener pasture."

    3. Our largest actual attendance this year, sans FSU game, is something like 24,000 fans. Seriously, 24,000 fans. That glass isn't half full, it's 2/3's empty.

    4. I repeat, our largest actual attendance this year, sans FSU game, is something like 24,000 fans. We're winning lots of games, and no one cares to come. I graduated from USF in 2005, but I'm currently taking a class on campus and surprisingly, the interest in athletics is much less.  If you think ****** attendance doesn't factor in a coaches decision, let alone recruting, you're fooled. Everyone loves to be appreciated.

That being said, I hope he stays, and we continue winning.  GO Bulls

It's really not important to players.  Winning is.  Would be nice to hear a little about football.

Why not ask fans about attendance, since they're the ones either showing up or not?

Why not dig in to the issue with the Administration?

It couldn't have anything to do with the type and amount of coverage provided in the Tampa Bay area media, so don't interview yourself.

    Players?

    Brad,

Of course it hurts the players when 80% of the seats are vacant during the game. Of course it infuriates Coach T, BUT..... What is responding with their true feelings going to achieve other than provide a hanging curve ball for Martin Fennelly?

I doubt it convinces anyone else to show up.

    Reality bites.

Our die hard fanbase is small. I'm glad to be a part of them and thanked the few left around me in section 138 after the game.

How have we not sold this game out?

The BS over attendance and Big 12 is just  noise...NOT selling this game out would be a disaster to the narrative though

Joe, the cheapest ticket available to the general public is 85.00 for an upper deck seat (not between the 20 yd lines) Plus a $10.20 service fee for $95.20 total.   For a family of four that's $380.80.

Truth hurts when every other program didn't have butts in seats for every ticket distributed? Actually most not even close but I digress.

This topic is being beat to death. I'm over it at this point. Obviously USF has to follow completely different standards then every other program. Got it.

I love the fact that some of you are getting mad. That shows you're passionate about the Bulls. And trust me, I'm mad as hell too. I've been a diehard fan since 2000. But I'm mad about fans not showing up, not the release of an actual attendance stat. My eyes already told me that stat. Pictures tell a thousand words, and the one I saw from inside the stadium was herds of open red seats, and I'm not talking about the upper deck. The Ray Jay lower bowl seats just over 42,000. 35,000 fans would have filled 83% of those. Instead, we occupied about 53% of the lower bowl. That picture doesn't look good even when you forget about the upper decks.

On the bright side, we're 1-0. Here's to hoping for a much larger showing Saturday.

     As always, GO BULLS!!!!!

Besides coming into campus across from the VA and into the more medical-related area of campus,  anyone know why they are switching the main entrance?  The way the campus appears today,  it doesn't really make sense when they have already built up the current entrance that takes visitors directly to the administration offices that houses the visitor center.  What they need to do is build a beautiful new administration/ welcome center at the end of that nicely landscaped road to become the centerpoint of the entrance.  I feel like a switch to the Bruce B Downs side is a less "dramatic" entrance for visitors for lack of a better term.

Where does it say they are changing the "main campus entrance"?
