It was more of a metaphor for a disgruntled employee...

Congrats on potentially being accepted in to a conference that is on life support. The fact remains that the college football landscape is heading towards a power 4 conference structure and the Big 12 will be on the outside looking in just like the AAC. Thinking anything different is as delusional as your national championship. Nothing will change and UCF will still complain on how unfair they are being treated.

I’m not a UCF fan Dude. Though I am changing my thought process and tell my family member not to consider USF and take the UCF offer, because this program is trash .

I’m a pissed off USF fan that poured his heart into that place when I attend and worked there. Now I don’t even recognize what that department is doing in terms of football.

Scott has to go. Use the conference payout money and peace. I’m sure somebody on the staff can do the same job and find a better coach in the off-season. What I’ve seen is crap.

  2. The funny thing is Bulls fans getting mad at what’s happening. We allowed this to happen, they stepped up and got better. Their is nothing to be mad about. That’s literally how sports games work.

if the program is not turned around this season it’s over for years. It is what it is except it or get mad…it ain’t gonna change. Just look at the most recent coaching hires and that’s all you need to know about how these two programs view themselves.

  3. Name calling ahh just like the Kansas Game I worked and we had to escort fans out being unbulllievable…the days working for USF athletics I don’t relish. Thank god I had a kick as$ boss and worked in the best department in that building.

nah I’m a former USF fan that now laughs at the athletic departments mismanagement of its football team. Don’t get mad at me bro, facts are facts.

You can’t compare USF football to UCF football. They were and are unafraid to take risks. We run from them to the safety net. The difference they score we don’t.

  4. This program has been on a slow death since Lee Roy passed. Terrible athletic directors and even worse coaches.

Now the fans must save the program and continue to be engaged. Whatever USF athletics,  I worked in your athletic department…good luck with that. A school that cared nothing about it’s supporters now want the supporters to hold up this turd.

You did this to the program and now must pay the consequences and I say well deserved. Another deer in the headlights coach to go with the funeral package. What a effing joke this program became. CWT should’ve been rehired in a heart beat. But y’all have a way of making sure you hire failure and have a terrible complex of thinking you’re a 10 when you’re really a 5 at best.

The fact y’all think Scott is the answer shows you why this school will continue to be a laughing stock in football. Is it ladies basketball season yet?

To be so lucky as to have the offense look like Gilbert, this is the single worst our offense has ever preformed and at most places that doesn't get you promoted.

The same offense with worse line coaching. Gets you what you are seeing. When your coach micro manages everything, this is what you get.

If Bell had complete control, the offense would look nothing like this.

Don't blame you. And while I felt bad this season giving more to academics than athletics, I feel completely vindicated right now. I am ready to support when I feel like the university is ready to chart a path towards success.

This should always be the case...SMH

I know watching our offense presently is like watching a train wreck, however I haven't given up on the thought that Kerwin Bell can correct this hot pile of garbage if given the keys to the car. Will Mike Kelly or anyone else agree with me? Highly unlikely. However his track record time after time proves he can turn things around and has won at every level. Here is an article from when he was not renewed at Jacksonville University. Typically you're not renewed because you are a dead man walking and the administration lacks the balls to fire you even though you're incompetent on your best days and an albatross on your worst (see Charlie Strong presently). In this case, Bell was not renewed because he "wanted more for the program". For the most part, the guy won... and won consistently. I believe he had one down season - but we all very well know that can correspond with QB turnover as a football program is only as good as the QB at the helm. Anyways, throwing my two cents out there.

If I had a second choice - I'd take Jeff Monkin from West Point. He's the type of coach that gets everything out of his players (and he beat UF while coaching at Georgia Southern). That's a victory that would make a coach a legend at USF. West Point is down presently, but they would still steamroll our program this year (which kills me to say it). What is Mike Kelly waiting for? Give Bell the keys and let him right this ship. It's pretty bad presently and apathy is setting in quickly - literally fell asleep in the second quarter last night.

Kerwin bell but the offense looks like Gilbert hmmmmm....what do you think is happening.

He left a crap roster with a few upperclassmen that were good. Charlie really should have loaded up in the portal after he cleaned house.

We have no qb and our rb room is thin next year. I would literally take at least 5 offers for next year back and go get 12 players from juco or portal.

The depth stinks and a few good players on D. Played a clean game til the end.  Saban couldn't win with this talent on offense.

Not sure why Roberts is playing over Davis or Mccloud over Bobby Boucheaux.

Why is Phillips on the field? Bell needs to stand up and lobby for Rygol.

You have no clue what you are talking about.

Why this program continues to cast sour notes on Willie T is hilarious to me. I wish we could go back and remove everything he did for this ungrateful ass fan base.

OK, with so much of your blood in the program, please tell us how Jose’s coaching changed/improved this year vs his previous 18 years?

I wanted to say something regarding the Pre-Fernandez years, but I won’t do that those wounds all these years later are still fresh.  I will say posters on here always talking down Judy Genshaft need a history lesson. Sadly, not much has changed in certain areas besides different office placement and a new building. But I’ll always be grateful to Judy for standing by the players.

So, we pick up after Winters last year after finally being forced out before the season. Enter Jose, new behind the ears and not ready at all. They didn’t win much especially with No Smith, those around then know why, but he did have a rough diamond in Shepard. I’ll give you that season, actually, I’ll give you every season until Dickson got on campus, after everything that happened what was to be expected? New coach no talent besides one stud that dogged out every night. Bad combination even Lebron can’t win alone.

Then was The Big Tree years Dickson and Miller they were good but still the others had a long way to go. Sounds harsh but it is what it is, the best players were good the other players always seemed under developed offensively. We can keep this same sentiment when you add in Grace to the picture which was the start of the Guard Phase. You had Grace and Lawson, then Lawson and the Twins, side note one of my favorite teams to watch play besides the 03 team was the 08 team my first year officially on campus. Then The Twins (Andrea and Andrell) and Orekhova, and finally Orekhova/Williams/Jenkins (Cycle breaks add in a killer rebounder) (but continues average scorer)

Now we enter this current phase I say his coaching has grown because the quick assent happened when Williams/Jenkins/(name a list of three but really Laksa and some others each night) started to step up. Its the first time the others looked like they could carry the team for a night if possible. This season he has grown the most IN MY EYES because of how he has fielded a team of others and for the most part they’re holding their own. They won’t win many more most likely, but the coaching stepped up the last couple of years. He’s done way less with more if you ask me. It’s an X’s and O’s thing as well, USF is in games all the time now no matter the opponent. You couldn’t say that before even when Williams was playing. It’s a shame what happened to the team, but all is not lost.

We Shalt see I thought this with CWT then he went to FSU and forced the GCO to much on a team built to run power. Coaches get in their own ways sometimes. Just how it goes, sometimes you don’t realize until the season is over the answer was right in front you the whole time.

I agree for the most part. It is a little discouraging that the raw talent isn't showing itself, but the coaching and effort is omnipresent. All the injuries really are a bummer because this was the season we were poised to upset UCONN.

Agree it was a quick accent to relativity and we've been slowly tightening the screws. Shame what happened this year as I thought we could've taken at least one of three off the Huskies this season.  With how they've played these last couple of games, who knows might've been able to take two...how the cards fall sometimes. Proud they continue to fight

  11. I've never learn more about a coach and watched them develop as much as Jose Fernandez has this season. He'll look back on the season and not remember the pains as much, because it's where he learned to coach like a champion.

Our ladies should not be anywhere close in these games. Yet they show up every night adjusted as well as you could expect, and have even pulled some these games out.  That level of detail will serve this program well going forward.

Good luck BK who knows why it didn't work out . Dude has a cannon and a gut like mine whats not to love I hope the guy lights it up.

100% agree with this. Takes some kind of miserable life to root for a kids demise.

All the best to BK. They probably win more games then we do next season....

This smells like a kid having a lawyer get in his head looking for a pay day.  Seeking that kind of money for no permanent damage is ridiculous as is "Trying to get the NCAA to put and end to these kind of work outs" or whatever.   Lawyers gunna lawyer

You hear these stories all the time when conditioning programs are changed. Anyone with a pulse in coaching business knows that. All you have to do is look our players currently. I've never seen so many bowling balls on the field. When the conditioning program changes at USF and I pray that its sooner rather then later. Expect some kids to struggle at the start, no one wishes for it to happen and you prepare your kids for this not the happen. But it is a possibility.

Apparently that’s not all he did...

At USF yes it is, I've watch these boards for awhile before actually joining. You're as big a Willie hater that exist. So of course you take that stance. Guess you like losing football games...but not just you in particular but to me how he was treated here and for what he did for this program.

Lets just say, I don't think Football was ever the issue. It's America, somethings don't change in the south when you're the first.
