I just don't get how major sports services keep talking about top teams in our conference being #61 total. Every single year throughout our existence we have multiple teams in the top 25. It's like the people being paid to watch sports aren't watching sports

we tried but him and Q didn't have a very good connection on go routs. He dropped some on top of that
I love me some QF, but imagine if he had Barnett tossing him the ball

How can RBs be so highly ranked when none of them have proven anything, and nobody even shared time with two non NFL backs last year. I'm going WR, DB (I'm extremely high on Thomas and Hoggins) DL, RB, OL, QB, LB
-
In order, its UCF, Ga tech, Houston, Temple, then Cincy and Illinois are meh, and the rest should be snooze fest steam rolls by USF

I think our only lock is Marlon Mack. And I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who was not a fan of Aaron Lynch

1.. P5 invite, without it a natty in football isn’t possible
2. AAC football championship
3. Final 4 MBB
4. As long as we’re dreaming, sold out home football games

There are so many problems with this scheduling philosophy. Let me try to summarize them. First, by doing so many 2 for 1's, it is hard to get 6 home games a year. Meanwhile everyone else is playing 7 home games, and thus, racking up more wins, in theory. Say all you want about going out and being road warriors, but the fact is, it is far easier to win at home. Say goodbye to 7 home games a year. There is a reason Alabama plays 8 home games a year. Even Alabama occasionally loses on the road, because it's just harder to win on the road, especially against a power program. Next, you are permanently etching in stone that you are a second class program. Power programs, which USF aspires to be, never do 2 for 1's. Ever. Ever. You are saying you are not worthy of playing other programs on an equal footing. Next, you virtually guarantee an extra loss or 2 every year, automatically taking you out of the NY6 bid. The main factor for getting a Ny6 bid is wins. Then, once you have 2 teams with no or one losses, all things being equal, THEN you start compare schedules to see who gets bid. But if you start out with 2 losses, you aren't going, even if you win conference. Next, you're putting yourself behind the 8 ball compared to the rest of the AAC, who plays one P6 opponent and are going 4-0 every year, meanwhile you are going 2-2. Next, you could possibly beat yourself up prior to conference play, when everyone else is just working out the kinks. You are telling the entire world that YOU are inferior. YOU are not worthy, and YOU are a permanent second class citizens.
1-1's only. Everything else is a disgrace. Sure, should you happen to win them, and if you haven't beaten yourself up, then you might be able to make some noise. But when you are playing constant road games, that is going to be hard to do.
I understand why it is being done, but that doesn't mean I agree. Quick, name me one major program that does 2 for ones. My point exactly. The end.
I don't know if you've been watching college ball lately, but 3 loss teams with tougher schedules are being ranked above one loss soft schedule teams across the board. Beating SJSU and UMass at home gets us nowhere, and we have seen that. We also saw Houston get #5 from beating Oklahoma.
Also we aren't a major program.

As someone who despises baseball, after NBA I watch UFC til football is back. They have a pretty entertaining league

Their schedule was no where near comparable
If their schedule was so much better then why did they lose to Auburn when UCF beat them? Were you also the same one saying USF was being cheated out of a respectable ranking? (I'm pretty sure most of us were) If you look at Memphis, they were cheated too. But hey, if you guys choose to have bought out opinions, you're entitled to that. Just know that UCF won it on the field. Bama bought their title.

Old BCS computer rankings has UCF end of the year #1. As a Bulls fan who isn't letting my dislike for UCF get in the way, I congratulate them on their national title. You guys can pat the P5 guys all you want. The absolute fact is UCF went undefeated while playing a comparable schedule. There is nothing that makes Alabama better other than your personal bias. Only one team won it on the field

I was surprised to see the Duke transfers left off the list

Yeah he seems to be a really safe bet. Good hires for football in Taggart and Strong.. relatively weak schedules...
Basketballs Antigua was a massive bust. The Jury is still out on Gregory, but he has all the signs of going in the right direction
I don't watch other sports... So my take is that he's a guy that isn't going to set us back, but there are other candidates who could do just as well. He seems sensible at least. It's a good move to re sign him

They were not the #1, #2, or #3 team in the country AND I'm upset they were better than us. One has nothing to do with the other.
Please name 4 teams better than them

I dislike UCF also, but all of you acting like they were not #1, 2, or 3rd best team in the country sound like you're just upset because they were better than us. All things considered, they absolutely have a claim to be national champs. They were undefeated, and beat the team that beat the recognized national champs.

I hate UCF but they were possibly and arguably the best team in college football last year. Now with Milton coming back and a lot of talent, how can ESPN justify putting UCF at 55ish?? There are 54 better looking teams than UCF? We can also scratch our heads about how USF has finished in the top 25 two straight seasons but is 63. ESPN is such a joke

If I'm being honest, I don't see him making it as a QB in the NFL. Not unless by some miracle the erratic passes go away. My brain hurts just thinking of the type of packages they will have to run just to utilize his skill set. And a 4.63s 40 yard dash isnt going to beat many defenders (although I realize flowers is known for his incredible elusiveness, not straight line speed)
I just think NFL coaches have generally made a nonverbal statement that they are looking for pocket passers rather than an athlete to scheme around. Shoot, Gilbert didn't even bother to scheme around him

I don't think MVS had an issue with effort. The guy looks to be giving 100% at all times. My only critique is that for a 6'5 athletic freak of nature, he definitely didn't climb the ladder to get contested catches very well. Somewhat unreliable hands is probably the easiest thing to fix though, so good luck to him! I can definitely see him having a role in an NFL offense if he puts in the work.
-
We sure do need him to. The only position I feel good about is the secondary, because Hoggins, Wilkins, and Thomas are all stars. Mccants and Salomon are good at WR but will they be able to perform with a new QB? I'm somewhat worried, but optimistic about next year

One of their fans responded, "yuck", at the thought of playing us. They see us the way we might have seen a bowl game against FIU. I'm somewhat confident we beat them though. They are arguably the second best team we play this year, just ahead of Houston.
#1 They can't see USF that way when we are 9-2 and they are 6-6. #2 Based on computer rankings, the AAC is closer to the Big 12 in strength than cusa is to us. #3 FIU is in a smaller conference, and also has a worse record.

Winning this game is the most important game in our history so far

I would much rather go 8-4 against the old BE with WVU, Pitt and Syracuse than go 9-1 against Tulsa, Tulane and SMU. I'm not a fan of the AAC, but it's what we have. Let's not kid ourselves here; 9-1 is nice but it's all relative. I think most of us strive for USF to be great, but your kidding yourself if 9-1 the AAC is as enjoyable as 8-4 in a real conference.
Real teams like Pitt and Syracuse... that's a joke. It's not even the conference that's that bad. What happend to Cincy and UConn?? If they play well the past few years our conference gets respect. But they both majorly fell off

I can't give you the specific players and instances, but we're up to at least 3-4 drops or balls that should have been caught.
Here at the game I can recall a deep Alaka drop, and a bad Salomon drop where everybody boo'd

Look at it this way, every loss increases our chances of keeping CCS.
While that may be true, losses increase my dislike for a coach. So I'll just take the wins and a new coach
