So my cousin is on the team and there was a meeting tonight between some of the team and MK. There is a gag order in effect until Tuesday (but word is already getting out) but Jim Tressel is slated to be the new coach. He joined via zoom to talk with the team about his interest in leading the Bulls "back to glory", as he put it. No news on rest of the staff but press conference is Tuesday, apparently.

Deion would infuse life in the program right away. Whether or not it's for the right reasons is less important if he can pull it off and get us back on the map and dominant.

@BullsCoachLOL How boring your life must be to join a USF forum as a UCF fan and troll. Your mind must have not fully developed yet if this is how you entertain your days.
-
Wow, we suck. This is disheartening to watch.

We are getting ****** today. I suspect a reversal of the 64-12 game. I bet UCF drops 73 on us.
-
Let's go Bulls!!!

Are there no others out there that empathize with this perspective?

Will do. I have a few schemes in mind that I think will work against future opponents. I have a tremendous amount of experience in watching games and having never played in my life. =p

I appreciate everyone's feedback here. Good to get a conversation about this going.
@NewEnglandBull, it's Terence, please.

Perhaps cheering was a bad way to explain my thoughts. I don't want to root against our team. Instead, I wont' be upset if UCF wins and I won't engage in the typical banter with UCF fans because they do have the better team and they have every right to blow us out this weekend.

I am a USF alum like most of you. However, this week we need to disregard the loyalties and the rivalries and cheer for UCF. Our team has been horrid and many fans here thought a huge deflation was inevitable. That is coming true and it has been hard to cheer for our Bulls these past few weeks. As such, we should consider supporting UCF in their bid to make the playoff and help a conference like American overall.

It's all good. I've been in the same place as you at times. I'm just saying at least those people bought tickets. We need everything we can get at this point.
I think factor in constant rain and a very crappy game for the first half. The team looked more depressed than the crowd going into the tunnel with a lead in the first half.
Fair point. I'm thinking to myself would I rather have people there or not and it's definitely the former.

we are in 112 and were very loud. we are there every game and stay till the end.I have no voice today. couldn't stand in the very end, I had a sleeping child on my lap.
Awesome! You were one of the few.

Me and the family go to one game a year, and I for one, can barely talk this morning. The stadium got decently loud on the last Houston possession on 3rd and 4th down. I have no complaints about those who showed up.
Great! I should have prefaced that not all alumni or students lack passion - but a good portion in my section did.

Tired of fans complaining about other fans. Ironically, I am now doing the same thing.
That is ironic. I think it's fair game, however. There is obviously an issue with attendance and while I'm not questioning my loyalty to a program over my neighbor it is disheartening to see such a lack of passion from the stands. Sports are entertainment - be entertained.

I wonder what this loss will do to our attendance going forward. Not much room for error with the casuals in the Bay Area it seems.
You know, i'm not sure. It's possible the people showing up are the die hard fans and we have lost the casuals. If that's the case I would not expect much of a drop. But you never know. Reality says numbers hit all time lows.

Well said. Fellow 112er here. I was yelling and banging my seat trying to make noise.
We are who we are...
Represent! I know cheering audaciously is not for everyone but some level of cheer is required. There was a woman next to me who must have been in her sixties and she was louder than people half of her age...

Frankly, it's inexcusable - especially from the students. They still have the shuttle service from Marshall Center so travelling should not be an excuse. Is there just no longer a football culture on campus?
Additionally - I am really disappointed in the alumni who did attend. Now, they made the trip and that's half the battle but wow was my section lackadaisical. There was absolutely no enthusiasm whatsoever. It was my first game in awhile as I just moved back to Florida but I was shocked at how quiet my fellow fans were. I felt out of place at first because I was one of the few cheering and cheering LOUDLY. At halftime when the team headed toward the lockers I was the only one around me cheering them on - it was truly shocking.
Toward the end of the game my section became louder and I think that's a result of 1) people coming from other sections who weren't originally there and 2) my enthusiasm finally rubbing off.
You play to win because you play for yourself and your teammates but it's understandable that you may play with less passion given the measly crowd there supporting you.
I'm so sorry, Bulls. We have failed you and it's shameful and inexcusable.
I was in section 112.

Curious what our current players are saying. Hopefully this entices them to stay!

I did not find his presser particularly inspiring. The post interview had a little more meat, I think. I do appreciate him not trying to set our expectations on anything outside of being good quickly.
