An NFL career doesn't correlate to a great college career--see Aaron Lynch. Both Daniels and Flowers are not qbs-- note Daniels never played a down as a qb. He was a great athlete but USF will need a real qb to crack the 25, and stay there. flowers does look smart though.

It looks like early on Flowers is the better game manager. He has taken care of the pigskin much better than our former qb who fumbled and threw too many picks. What will Willie do next year if Woulard is a BJD--more eye candy but a turnover machine?

Sad thing was Daniels would showboat while losing. Holtz was in love with him the same way Willie is in love with Flowers. Their (Holtz and Taggart) lack of recruiting a winning qb who can throw the ball vertically down the field will be the death of USF football. Sad but true.

USF has sucked for years and will continue to suck until a real qb is under center. Flowers had 60 yards passing vs Maryland. He wouldn't start on any other team in FBS in America, yet he's "the guy". People on here think he's "improving". Just like Willie, the bar is so low, how can he not improve. Time to wake up!

Bortles = D1 QB. Daniels = Legit D1 Backup. Daniels=Braxton Miller...who is in his correct position now.

flowers is a fourth string qb masquerading as a D1 qb...at USF. Pretty sad if that's your only egg in the basket. And, Daniels could tear up FAMU and The likes, but he was beyond pedestrian vs legit teams. Just like with Flowers, teams stacked the box and made Daniels beat them with his arm, which he couldn't. Check his record as a starter.

not sure if you remember but Daniels would sulk on the bench after a few picks his first year. Soon he changed his image by trying to yuck it up, and at times, show up the opposition. Flowers hasn't done anything like that in a game. Advantage Flowers.

Daniels in a receiver now. Pete Carrol found his true position. While USF lost games with Daniels under center UCF won a BCS Bowl game with a true qb. Say what you will about PJ, he had USF 2 games from a Conference championship, much closer than BRuce JR.

There are many sensible patrons, like yourselves, on this blog, but there are still far too many who can't see the forest through the trees. The "white out" is just another embarrassment from this school. Judy and Harlan need to wise up--try a gold out--and win back the fan base (commit to winning=new coach that can recruit a winning qb). Until then USF support will need triage.

Not sure how you read that? The main idea is that USF hasn't had a qb for quite sometime and the win-loss record is evidence. The program is beyond irrelevant which is a crime. The Tampa crowd will rally for UF the next few weeks and attendance will continue to plummet. It's just funny that so many are in denial.

There has been a lot of discussion about QF over the last few weeks so let me break it down for all you. Don't worry, I'm an expert. First Name Edge-- Quinton Much cooler than Bruce. Surname Edge-- Daniels Flowers is too fluffy for football. Uniform Number Edge-- Daniels Lucky #7 Rushing Edge-- Bruce He's the better true running back/receiver. Passing Edge-- toss up but #7 has the edge Flowers has the hollow stats but we know what he's all about (sideways passing/shovel passes) while old #7 loved to toss a few each week to the other squad (remember UF....ouch). Both love padding those stats against FAMU. Quarterback has been the area of need since Grothe went down. Sportsmanship Edge-- Flowers I've yet to see Flowers sulk on the sidelines or try and show up an opponent on the field like our former game manager. Flowers has been all class even though he would otherwise would be a fourth string running back on this team behind Mack, Johnson, and Tice. Conference Championships Edge-- Even Daniels couldn't do it and neither will Flowers. In their defense, neither could any other USF qb. Bullspen Man-crush Edge-- Daniels Lots of Bullspeners wearing Seahawks #5 jerseys to bed as nightgowns--yep, that's you! Tale of the Tape Coin Toss Nostalgia leans towards Bruce but Quinton has his crew of support. Neither are legitimate D-1 quarterbacks as the USF win-loss record the last five years is evidence to support that assertion.
