He didn’t beat a winning team, I like him but schedule was ass and we were .500, just a realist and not a kool aid drinking moron.

FAMU has a winning record.  While i agree schedule wasn't the best, but this team if under Scott probably beats FAMU and Charlotte only.  Doesn't matter if it ass, if we start winning we have chance to win our conference in the future.

  2. As much as I like Leavitt.  Do we think we would be in the ACC or Big12 with him, if he stayed all this time?  Possibly, but you have to remember he was a 7-9 win coach and a .500 or below in conference coach.  Sure be nice to have that but I recall before the firing many were questioning if he should still be here as it seemed we had flat lined at the moment.  Still been interesting to see the program with him today.

Yes when teams you are calling up are passing you by and you remain still calling up the next teams that will then pass you by you need to question your strategy. SMU moved up, that’s more than enough to fire everyone and start over from the ground up. We do not seem to grasp clearly enough that moving up is the only thing that matters, doesn’t matter how we need to move up now! The OCS error is an expensive distraction that has handcuffed our ability to be lean and nimble.

SMU mostly moved up bc they did it free.  You want us to go to the ACC that could collapse any moment that FSU and others leave for free and not get any money at all.  You sound so bitter you mine as well take a break until we get to your liking.  Yes this isn't ideal but this is the hand we dealt ourselves.  If we can continue to improve the location and tv market will sell it self.  UCF had a 20 year start on us and finally got in one.  SMU use to be in a big conference and they have a 50+.  Calm down and see what happens, might be good for your health to take a break.

I expect it to be ugly at times and at times show flashes of adequacy.  Then there will be times where the team really outplays expectations.  We were so far down that it isn't going to turn around as fast as many expect.  These are mostly people playing their first season together in a new system with a first time HC.  The thing is - we knew this going into the season.  We are going to be inconsistent until it clicks, if it ever does.  It will take time to see.

Biggest problem is, do we have that time.  If we don't fix it quick we are not getting into a big conference ever.  If we were in the SEC or BIG10 than sure we have time to see.  We need to win now pull a UCF and turn it around quickly.

  5. As much as I want to be in the ACC I hope it fails so SMU is left with nothing.  I wouldn't have mind that they got accepted for what they have done but what exactly have they done more than us in 40 years since they were giving the death penalty.  Id hope NCAA looks at this and thinks that it can't be right that someone is willing to play essentially for free for 9 years in order to be with the big boys.

It’s because in high school they can live off talent alone. In college you have to think ahead and not just react.

I agree there I could tell he had little awareness late in the game.  You see guys pressuring you like that you need to throw it away.  We he got sacked down our end even the announcers said he need to throw it away and done a second before he got sacked.  Hopefully learns from it and does better next year if not we need another qb.

I was just checking to see if my ESPN+ account was working and I noticed that they were broadcasting Tulsa at USF in soccer. If there is 150 people there I would be surprised. The men's team isn't looking too good, their passes are either off target or too hard.

Plus they were playing the #9 team in the nation too.  Not sure what happened to the mens soccer team here, seems roles are reversed now.  Women are a good team and the men is mediocre or bad.

The only way we don’t lose by 70 plus is if UF feels bad for us and plays their walkons the 2nd half.

Not sure even with the walk ons that they couldnt get 70 on us.  Maybe get some of 70 year old plus gator fans on the field than maybe we would keep it under 70.

  9. He was my first choice so I am happy with the decision.  It will be interesting to see how he does with academics, athletics, and fundraising since he has done well in two of them.  Btw if you look at his resume, I think he is only one of the few who mentioned athletics in his resume.  So, I do think he might be at least a little involved in the athletic side of the university.

  10. I agree this season has been a success.  I thought this tournament would be a success if we got at least one win and we did.  Heck ECU is already out.  ESPN was praising USF for the season and feels Kingston could really start something here.  I hope so, b/c I can still see ESPN as bad as we are in football, still seems to talk about and at times like USF.  On a side note, congrats to my other school University of Tampa for another baseball National Championship, now that school knows how to win championships lol.

  11.

UCF sent to Tally. Totally hosed out of hosting. SMH.

UCF only team from AAC going. That really sucks for the conference

If you look at the standings only Tulane and USF had winning records too, the rest were horrible.  Granted this year we couldnt beat any of them, but I am not surprised UCF only one to go this year.  Man how UCF has become good in most sports and we suck at most.

  12. I still feel things happen in cycles, look at UCF football 10 years ago it was the laughing stock of college football, now look at them.  I know basketball we have always been bad, but the football program is not even 20 years old, programs have down years or decades, heck look at Rutgers, they werent relevant for over a 100 years.  I think AAC is USF's wake up call, we had fun with the big boys but we have come back to Earth and need to figure out what we are.  We need to start winning conference titles in football or basketball before we start to think P5.  i feel USF is close bc our other sports can win we just need football and basketball too.  The other sports I am proud of them winning and makes being a fan and alumni less depressing, but it is only icing on the cake, we just need the cake.

  13. Is it me or does anyone else wish ucf would go away, for some reason now we can't seem to beat them bad or not in most sports. Even if they went to big 12 and we didn't I'd be glad to get rid of them bc I know in hate my friends who went to ucf more and more now lol
