We had 31k announced for Elon and 21k actual.  Being a noon game and GT focusing on the Louisville game for their main road trip I don’t see us topping 30k actual.  Sure hope I’m wrong.

If GT is potentially still filling up 3 sections and bringing there band I feel like that adds more right away...no way less Bulls fans show up this week vs last.

We live in Florida everyone should be use to the heat. Haha

What year was that? I don’t remember us ever playing WVU the second week in December. I always thought we finished up before other conferences had their championship game, not after.

Dec 1, 2011vs WVU finished up 5-7 that year but we had a Thursday night game prime time ESPN. Exams had already started on campus.

Conference championship games were that Saturday the 3rd.

  3. I had posted a topic that I asked to be removed, but what I kind of said went along with this thread. Until the university bridges the gap between athletics, clubs and academics all the advertising or lack of advertising in the world in my opinion won’t work. You have to create a partnership where people have each other’s back.

An example I thought of is Clemson I think delayed the first day of spring semester classes because of the national title game a few years ago. When I was a student at USF played a home game against West Virginia on a Thursday night, but we weren’t very good at this particular time and classmates of mine couldn’t get there final exam rescheduled to go to a ESPN nationally televised game involving USF. Many students had the same issue and thus the student section was empty.

I have no idea what to think about this game. Triple option is tough...

I’ll say this. As a coach I would be working on stopping the triple option a lot during fall camp. One stat I saw was when a Georgia Tech opponent had more then 2 weeks to prepare for them they are something like 0-4. I know for a fact last year as bad as Tennessee was they were able to get stops when they needed to.

Charlie Strong is a defensive minded coach so he should schematically be able to have the Bulls ready. Obviously like all games against Power 5 teams it will come down to the trenches on the offensive and defensive line. Georgia Tech does a lot of cutting and that is difficult to simulate in practice so it will be interesting to see how our new D-line can handle that.
