Good luck against FAU. It would be pretty brutal if they surpassed you and like UCF did. They even have a head start with prior conference championships and their own on campus stadium
FAU will be a dominant force in CUSA 2.0

Houston's QB showed serious heart on the last play.

Just in case anybody was wondering, this is one of our ****wad Kanigit trolls, who's got like a dozen different ID's on here .... not someone who really gives a **** about other Florida teams having success.
How is posting about a team joining the AAC doing big things in the AAC forum trolling?

Looks like FAU is really stepping it up as they enter the American, 24 donations of 6-7 figures, and huge growth in season tickets in their on campus stadium. Always good to see other Florida teams have success!

Cincinnati Bearcats football marks another first in program history
The University of Cincinnati Bearcats football has sold out of their 2022...Great news! This is the type of thing that really helps conferences. UCF is under 5% remaining. Houston usually sells 15k.
Should leave a really solid foundation in the AAC for the rest of the teams to build on that success.

Strongly against.
A rivalry is a fun back and forth.
C. fans, on the other hand, are cocky, delusional, and untethered from reality. I want no part of what they are about.
We have better academics, in a few months will have a better indoor facility and in a few years will have a better stadium. We have a better AD and a better coach. I'm done with them.
Which one of the D1 wins from your coach make you think he's better than Gus? Not knocking your opinion, I'm just wondering.

I was at the game, and understand this sentiment. I kept thinking during the game that we should have been on the field, not them, in our house (even if we do rent our current house).
it was interesting observing the UCF fans. Some of them jumped up and down, not realizing that concrete stadiums don’t bounce. Their cheerleaders have a sign telling them to be quiet, which tells me that their fan base doesn’t have enough sense to know when (and when not) to cheer. Their were even some of their fans standing around in the bathroom in the Club area watching the game on TV, (instead of actually watching the game live). Guess the bathrooms at the Oviedo House of Tin don’t have TVs… I just wonder if they are now going to have a parade at Disney World since they are now the (Undeclared) State Champs. Even saw a billboard in Tampa today proclaiming said championship.
However, I will say that their fans showed a passion, spirit, and intensity that I have not seen from the USF fan base I’m a long time. Don’t know what we need to do (besides win), and I don’t know if an OCS is the answer, but we need to get back to what I saw on the 2008 game vs. Kansas video recently.
Let’s stop ******** about the past and get this done!
Go Bulls
Admittedly as a UCF fan, the stadium you guys use has much nicer bathrooms than our stadium.

SEC, B1G and new B12 are clearly the best. Big gap after that.

Congratulations to the new members. Aac was a great conference for UCF and I hope the new members find it a great fit too!

Looks like the AAC will expand by these 6 teams:

I think these teams are great additions. Fun road trips for fans, brings back some old CUSA matchups for Memphis and SMU as well as keeps the conference a diverse TV market.
Also great move by FAU. I could see that program becoming a AAC powerhouse within 5 years with the recruiting and $$$ bump this will give them.

Not expecting DG to return vs USF. This is probably who you guys will face
Or if he doesn't pan out, Joey Gatewood.

Kansas looked like they were going to play.
Coastal just played with so much more enthusiasm and energy. Sort of embarrassing for Kansas to show up in a 17K stadium for a 10K enrollment school with players wearing mullets and get their ass kicked. I think their new coach is trying, but the rebuild is a few years off.
I'm sure it's hard to play in front of a crowd of 17k. High schools attract more people for some games.

Sounds like it'll be paused after next year, possibly this year if the Big 12 helps UCF move out earlier. It was fun while it lasted guys, appreciate all the spirited trash talk over the years. I think the rivalry was great for both programs.

President Hitt is a hero in my mind. I’m glad he’s not dragging them along this time.

I wonder what will happen with the AAC. We need the small money we are getting from there to even survive.
Coastal Carolina, App State, Ga State, Ga Southern, Fau?

Big 12 schools are announcing Wednesday of next week. It’s official

With sources seemingly aligning on the Big 12 expansion, it appears the UCF vs USF in conference rivalry is coming to a close.
Big 12 expansion talks focused on BYU, UCF, Cincinnati, Houston: Sources
If Big 12 ADs can reach a consensus on which members to invite, sources believe it’s possible that the process could move faster than initially anticipated.Would you guys support a Thanksgiving weekend game for rivalry weekend, or would you prefer to move on and find new rivals in our respective conferences?

I'm looking forward to this.

Thought it would be good to discuss on here as the AAC board is kinda slow these days. For most teams, recruiting in the AAC is looking better than I can remember it.
UCF up to 8 commits, all 3* plus a 4*
SMU doing really well, neck and neck with UCF
Cincy has a 4*, lots of 3* and two 2*, appears to be leading the conference in total commitments
Memphis has 9 commits with about half and half 2* vs 3*
USF & Houston both seem off to a delayed start with only 2 ranked commits

Unless Dawkins wraps the whole team in bubble wrap I'll curb my excitement. Injuries seem to be a staple for UCF basketball.
