  1. I can say with a ton of confidence, that if Bronson was never rated highly by the pay sites you guys claim to hate - you would never care about Bronson. I would love to see what you guys would do with zero knowledge gained from the pay sites player profiles.

A kid like Javonte Bagley looks way better than Bronson on tape, but is unranked on Rivals. You guys put so much care into the rankings and what not - why, I do not know... Anyways, he's still a four star. Move on fellas

  2.

Bayes, once was a Rivals 250 athlete. Has dropped off list and went from #10 ATH nationally to NR now. I have screenshots of how I must be "misremembering"

He committed 7 months ago .... what took them so long?? And no need to question your memory on this one. He still has a 10 rating on our recruiting front page but NR when you go to his page.

He is still a 4* though .... is that only a matter of time, too?

    :lmao:  :lmao:

  3. Interesting.......

What are Wilkins plans for his senior season - now that he's committed to the Bulls?

"If somebody reaches out to me I'm not going to shut them down, but it's not like I'm going to reach out to them," he replied. "I'm just minding my own business - going to stay faithful to USF."

"I didn't commit to USF just to decommit."

I put that quote in its own paragraph cause I thought it was a pretty solid statement. He said it right after saying "...going to stay faithful to USF"

  4. Even Swinga from Rivals is tweeting about him tonite. Godby's Coach Ronnie Cottrell has always had strong ties with USF.  He does a great job with that program. Reaves is on the case, this one's ours.

His other finalist was UK and they are almost out of slots. They have 4 safety commits already and 22 total.

With our Sr. safetys and a slot for a true Fr. opening up back there. This would make complete sense.

FSU was in the picture but that didn't work out - USF is very much in the picture

  5. I don't know why it should mean they lost out on anyone higher up on their board. At the time that Clerveaux tried to commit but didn't have a committable offer, they were still waiting on Artavis Scott.

This is a good thing. There was a miscommunication, it got noses bent out of shape, instead of getting emotional or indignant about it the coaches made a calm decision to patch things up and continue to chase after a talented kid and they got him. That's a very good thing. They went from being on a kid's sh-t list because there was bad communication about what kind of offer was on the table, to being the kid's choice for where he wants to go to school. That's pretty cool. Takes good political skills to do that. Dey smoove.

They weren't waiting on Scott. Scott never was high on USF. Ill give CK the insider tip cause I like him - Taggart never watched Clerveaux's tape and didn't have the full chance to evaluate him.

Stan took it the wrong way but it was all cleared up. I'm happy for this kid, he's a great kid who can bright up a room. He's a sick receiver.

  6. I haven't read too many posts on this thread - kind of just skimmed. But if y'all think USF pulled his scholly because he went to a football camp, you're crazy. Absolutely crazy.

There will be several USF commits that are planning on taking there 5 OV's - and they're not going to get their scholly's pulled lol

I couldn't agree with you more, Mike! Many years ago I was being recruited by D2 schools, so I have a better idea of how the recruiting process works than most. I opted to go to USF with my child hood best friend and we had the time of our lives. Trust me on this, schools don't pull offers because a kid takes a visit or goes to a camp at another school. First off, in the social media crazed world we live in, there would have been at tweet or Facebook post about it. Secondly, I bleed green and cold, but USF is not at a level of success and power within the football world to pull offers from kids as a "threat or punishment" for visiting other places. If we were Alabama I could see a tatic like that might work, but they don't even need to do that. Just face the facts he's a 17 or 18 year old kid that made a choice and he's having second thoughts. It's obvious that not too many kids today understand the definition of the word "commitment"
    .

Same here, man. I was recruited D3 and got an NAIA offer, but decided to stay in Pinellas. A lot of people in the media either played pro ball but lack writing skills, or are great writers but lack football knowledge. I like to think I have a little bit of both lol

Is UF taking a look at this guy? If so, why? With Will Grier currently in there class, are they just looking for another solid QB, or is Litton interested in other schools?

UF is not looking at Litton.

I don't see all forums, but I don't see "haters", tho' that's the cool think for kids to call people that aren't "with them".

If he didn't tell Taggart he was decommitting, that's bush league, and may (should, IMO) mean the schollie is permanently revoked. It's not a butthurt thing, it's a matter of business: Taggart needs to secure areas of need, and count them while he pursues other recruits. If Taggart & Litton don't have better options, and Taggart is OK (or at least accepting) of this decommit, then maybe Litton winds up here.

I'd like to see Harris get picked up, but it's hard to determine the effect of Litton on local recruits. The fact that Bronson (4 star WR) lists us at his top, and a few recruits have come out already saying this doesn't affect them, is a good sign.

I think primarily Twitter is where Chase is feeling the brunt of the "haters". And I have zero doubt that they're there. Just in this thread there are plenty people hating all over the place instead of understanding that a 17 year old kid is having a hard time making a decision that will seriously influence the rest of his life.

Mot of the people here complaining about his decommintment aren't complaining that he did it, rather how he did it.

Exactly. Coaches found out about this decommit on Twitter... If you want to decomnit cool but be a man about it and tell the coaches first.

Don't want him back as thus just another in a long line of red flags on Litton

How do you know that the "coaches found out about this decommit on Twitter" ?

  9. Best of luck to you Derrick.

    The feeling is not mutual:

    http://www.baynews9.com/content/news/baynews9/sports/article.html/content/news/articles/bhsn/2013/7/23/ohio_picks_up_commit.html

Ingram has made it no secret, he's coveted an offer from his hometown USF Bulls, but they never pulled the trigger. He said even if they do now, he's staying put with his choice.

"Honestly, even if they offer, I would probably shoot them down because I feel disrespected," Ingram said. "Everything they've asked me to do, I've done it, so I guess I'm not the person they want. I would rather play against them right now."

I don't blame him for being upset and feeling slighted, especially as he watched a lot of his pals load a bus he wanted to board. He'll learn that we only have so many schollies to give out, and Taggart & co have to target areas of need with the best talent we can get. This is a great problem for us to have.

    Great point
