    Played the following teams:

    Tenn-Martin won 28-7

    Purdue won 38-20

    Houston loss 40-16

Miami Ohio won 27-20   (However, it was close they almost lost it.  Miami of Ohio should have won that game)

Perspective based on the game I saw.  Office looks ok at times.  Seems to sputter.   Defense was very poor in the game Miami Ohio until the end.

Home game, and they did not like the result last year.  They are going to be geared up.   USF struggles versus Cincy especially on the road.

Looking for a big bounce back after Saturday's performance.

I think this will be an incredibly interesting game.

**Cincinnati** tends to play Miami of Ohio relatively close (oldest non-conference rivalry in the country) and tends to pull away towards the end, but Ross Trail (redshirt freshman) had his first start ever in that game, so the onslaught just never came late into the game. Miami also had more yards offensively in every one of their losses except UC so far (including against Iowa, who was ranked 17 at the time, so they are certainly not having much trouble moving the ball against anyone, just not able to score/outscore teams at this point.

A lot will depend on who starts at QB for UC and how both defenses play. UC has had some shut down defense at times (first 3.5 quarters against Houston, holding them to 12 points) and looks completely clueless at times.

I think this may legitimately be the 2nd and 3rd best teams in the AAC playing each other for a spot in the conference championship game, so this one ought to be a great game (hopefully).

I graduated from both schools and will be in attendance and am really looking forward to this one. I believe Cincy is expecting around 40,000 (near sell out at Nippert) for a nationally televised Saturday night game.. if USF can come out on top I like our chances playing most anywhere else in the country as this will be the toughest away game all season.

Way too much green on the court last night.  Wasn't home but rewatched about midnight.  Beginning of 2nd half a gal hits a jumper and I'm trying to figure out who it was as I didn't recognize her.  Wrong team.

hahaha! I turned the game on the Watch ESPN website on my laptop and it was taking a few minutes to load with clarity, so it was pretty blurry, I saw green jersey nail a 3 and I was like YES!... just to realize we were in white lol! Never the less, glad to get the W when it was all said and done! :)

Bulls Win.  AGAIN!   All haters stop hating!

You have to admit though, it's somewhat hilarious, entertaining and sad that we actually win a few games and there's almost nothing posted on this forum, but after a loss there are new threads in droves about firing the coach and so on and so forth.

We beat a bad Alabama team. Lets not start pumping up a pretty limp basketball squad so we can all start slamming the coach when our inflated expectations don't touch reality.

We should all repeat the following after each win:

I will not get sucked in. I will not get sucked.

We should have all learned that lesson following the Detroit game.

That being said, I like the heart and no quit attitude shown the last couple of games.

    this.

we still don't know if Detroit game was a fluke or if we just have been lucky over very bad/mediocre teams so far this year. we should know more in a few weeks.

When does the basketball game start?

    9 pm

So I have to watch an hour more of this?

with how basketball has played the past few games (with the exception of a lucky game winner) i'm not sure that game is going to be a whole lot less painful to watch.

The basketball team could be 7-1 right now with a loss to a very good Oklahoma State but in typical USF fashion we blew that 7-1 opportunity

I was actually slightly impressed with the Ok State showing.. until they managed to lose to Detroit at home and needed a miracle to come back to George Mason.

  6. Considering that our season was already down the drain, and one win or loss here or there doesn't really make too much of a difference

UCF potentially winning a BCS bowl could actually be GREAT for us since we are a package deal for conference expansion. It makes the our argument for another conference better going forward, moreso than last year.

Yes it sucks for pride purposes, and rivalry and maybe some short term recruiting, but the reality is if UCF going to a BCS bowl gives us a better chance at going to another conference when our season is already down the toilet then by all means ill take it.

what is this package deal everyone keeps trying to talk about? was there a package deal for WVU and Pitt or Louisville and Cincy...? all for 1 and 1 for all. we need wins, no one else winning helps in conference realignment.

  7. - CUSA teams demonstrated that they can stand up against the old Big East teams (Louisville being the outlier)

Cincinnati didn't lose to any of the former CUSA teams this year, so not really sure how Louisville is the outlier in this example when they lost to UCF (CUSA) and UC's losses were to USF ("Old Big East") and Illinois (B1G)

Ummmm... We can't even beat FAU? How do you figure we are going to beat a bearcat team putting up these numbers?

Their starting QB is out. Their offense looked bad with the new QB in the Miami (OH) game (was 0-0 well into the 4th quarter).

I do agree with Bausfkid, we win the next 2.

The "starting qb" that is out (Munchie Legaux) was pulled last year because he wasn't playing that well... his replacement, (UC's current QB, Brendon Kay) went 5-1 after he took over. and UC typically struggles at Miami, it's an old passionate rivalry and crazy things happen, the last game at Miami was another relatively low scoring (20s) to 0 shutout for UC. Kay and Legaux came into the season as "co-starters", however, Kay was injured during summer practice, so Legaux got the most reps and therefore actually started the games. so though Kay was technically listed as the "backup", he's got more in game experience than Legaux actually had.

A lot on here(myself included)  get worked up over wins and losses,  when there is so much more to Football than the game itself.

Hope USF does something to let Cincy know that they are in our prayers/ thoughts.  They are our AAC brothers and sisters.

Thank you for posting this. As a recent UC alum, this story really hit home for me. Tragic accident. Mark Barr (St. Thomas Aquinas, Ft. Lauderdale) WR was also in the car and is still in critical condition. Had a procedure within the past 24 hours to lessen brain swelling that seems to have been successful.
