Although the Chicken Littles complain about USF not having any money and act as if we need to hold bake sales and car washes to keep the program afloat, there are many schools who are in worse financial shape. Take UCF, who is $23.6 million in the red.

USF is only $17.3 million in the hole. We could easily eat Taggart's remaining contract and still be in better shape than UCF.

It could be worse. We could be like UAB, who is showing signs of success, so the jerk offs who support Alabama are afraid of losing support of maybe 30 to 40 thousand fans, and are actively trying to shut down UAB. Birmingham, where that stupid annoying song says they supposedly love their governor. (Personally I prefer Neil Young's Southern Man, a true representation of the deep south).

Just imagine if UF and FSU conspired to shut us down. It could happen if the wrong people get into office. Think it cannot happen? Some self serving butt munch in Lakeland who wanted to set up his own legacy (and sell property to the state at a good profit for friends and family) ripped USF Polytechnic away from us and started his own university at the expense of mainly USF but also at the expense of the rest of the university system. An unaccredited university too boot. Therefore it really does matter who you vote for. Find out of those politicians really support USF or are just giving you lip service. A USF alumnus most likely will support USF; a politician who went to UF or FSU will not.

Great points!! And yes, I spoke to many UF fans that say that USF will fold and shut down the program like the University of Tampa did a long time ago. That is the mindset of many that dont support USF. Feel bad for UAB for going through all of that, but you are right in that it can happen at USF too.

They cancelled the Bulls Blitz buses for the game Friday to save money (like that ever mattered to SG lol)

So I have to figure something out. All my usual game day buddies are out of town visiting family on Friday. And I could drive there but the question is: will the cost of parking be worth the outcome of the game? Hard to tell. We'll see what happens.

Is this true? For all Harlan has done we can't have one bus available for hard core students to get to the game? I know school is out but this seems counter productive to all the talk.

It was in the Oracle this morning. Student Government cancelled the busses because they claimed there would not be enough students to be worth it. Strange that SG suddenly cares about how much money they spend. They have never had that concern before.

We are not rivals. This game is a burden, not a rivalry. It's not important. USF is making me sick with the hype they are pushing. They really don't want my money.

Ha!!! It always has been. Deny it all you want. Now I get it...UCF was midmajor and USF was fortunate enough to leapfrog UCF into the Big East. Of course USF did everything it could to distance itself and timing was everything. I get it and it made perfect sense , but under it all UCF was always of similiar size, 90 miles away and was the only other mid tier FL program. You really hit the equivalent of conference lottery to get into a BCS conference the way you did. For some I am sure there is this reality where USF is in the B12 and UCF is in CUSA. That was never realistic. This is a natural rivalry. UCF has nothing to gain from beating USF..it is now a lose lose for UCF. The only win is winning the conference. Our fanbase and program have nothing to gain from pushing this rivalry other than maybe package deal to big12. Regardless, it is a rivalry whether you want to admit it or not. And despite a lopsided win/loss history it always was.

Bball is where it's at. And not just men's. The women are looking real strong. There was no USF football when I was an undegrad. I gotta say, there's no USF football now, either. We had a pretty nice run there for a while, as we were climbing. But, not any more. Shut this mess down, use the Big East buy out money to throw everything into supporting both basketball teams and build some USF pride. We'll never, ever be an FSU or UF. We won't even be a "good ol' days" USF. Shut it down. We're just flushing money down the toilet with football. Losing fans. Losing brand image. USF football is hurting the school more than it's helping at this point.
