  1. he is a terrible ad

and should have been fired years ago

**** straight. Being a decent person has no ties to being a successful AD. He's the biggest problem the program has. The issue is that getting rid of him doesn't immediately fix our program so there's no instant gratification. To add to that, I'm sure it's tough to hire the right AD (contract, right fit, proven track record, etc). This would be why he's stuck around so long. Unfortunately there's only two things that fix this program...good long term solutions and time. I foresee we cut our losses and he's gone by the end of the year if we have a terrible record. It has to be terrible though. Willy T will be around for a few years and I think his style is good. I hope he does well with what he's got. He had a major flop at the QB position last week but it seems that's been corrected with Eveld. Wasn't Eveld the guy who went in and beat Miami after Daniels was injured? He looks very poised in the QB position and fits well with the traditional offense we're running now. At least it's a start at fixing the madness but lot's more work to do. That's my two cents anyway...

  2. Statement from USF Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Doug Woolard

The planned withdrawal of the seven Catholic institutions from the Big East Conference was certainly not unexpected, and we wish them the best moving forward. The Big East model adopted in 1991 that encompassed both football and non-football playing members proved successful since its inception. This change, though, had been the subject of discussion for many years, and can now be viewed as part of the natural progression of conference realignment.

The Big East has 13 strong members moving forward together. We will have an excellent league in football, basketball and all other sports, and our programs will compete at the very highest level of intercollegiate athletics.

USF remains very well positioned for national success. As the eighth largest university in America, an incredibly rich talent base in the state of Florida and state-of-the-art athletics facilities that match or exceed those of any program in the country, there is no question USF will continue to emerge as a national force.

Comment from Commissioner Michael Aresco and the BIG EAST Presidents

The basketball institutions have notified us that they plan to withdraw from the BIG EAST Conference. The membership recognizes their contributions over the long distinguished history of the BIG EAST. The 13 members of the Conference are confident and united regarding our collective future. We have a strong Conference with respected national universities, and are working together to forge the future. We have a variety of options, and are looking forward with great partnership, collegiality and optimism.

  3. Both of our schools working together. Sign of 2012 End of Days?

12/15/12: UCF President John C. Hitt/USF President Judy Genshaft Joint Statement

"UCF and USF are committed to the BIG EAST. Under the capable leadership of Commissioner Mike Aresco, we are working together with the other 11 members of the conference to build a future that offers outstanding opportunity for our student-athletes and fans."

Genshaft clearly has no business being involved with athletics. Maybe the Bulls will be something in 2050.

  4. I'm at the point I say let's blow up the Big East, Conference USA and Sunbelt and be the leader to drive the bus towards a new conference that makes sense GEOGRAPHICALLY, like a Southeastern Conference "Light".

It would have more of a draw for local players than a conference like we have now and we throw in Army/Navy for a little spice.

It could look something like this:

    Division A

    USF

    UCF

    FIU

    FAU

    ECU

    Army

    Division B

    Memphis

    UAB

USA (South Alabama) (watching them locally here, they remind me of USF back in a day. They're growing support quickly in this football crazy area)

    Troy

    Western Kentucky

    Navy

I'm open to suggestions as to the exact teams obviously to fill it out, but you see the theory behind it. There's a lot of rivlaries inherent in alot of those pairings already both with the FL teams and AL teams. If you needed more schools you could expand a little to Louisiana and get Tulane, ULL or ULM, Houston, SMU etc.

Ugh this would be awful. Why don't we just move to NAIA?

  5. I dont feel bad for you guys next year when the team goes 4-8 and then 3-9 and then he's fired... Here's how he's done at WHO GIVES A **** KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY

    Idiots.

WKU was the worst program in the country when he took the job.

    Idiot.

Wow and he didn't have a winning record with them. EVER DUMBASS

    2-10

    7-5

    7-5

When the number on the left is larger than the number on the right, you have a winning record.

Figure this equation out (Bowls = 0) + (rew bull = dumbass) = go fark yourself. I wasn't counting high scool football teams as wins.

  6. NOO a wku head coach are you kidding?!?!! Hope this isn't true.

Would be a great hire for us.

This is what we THOUGHT when we got Skippy. Hope it's true THIS time...

  8. Pretty impressive.

Sometimes when people scream the sky is falling .......it is beacause...... the sky is actually falling!

Or when people constantly scream the sky is falling, it eventually will come true .... the old vision challenged squirrel and nut scenario.

Some people just can't give props. It isn't like the guy has 50 we are death posts. Give him some love. Lol

Finally! LOL to all the other posts though :)

  9. Seriously grow some balls, toughen up we still got a whole season. Some people on here immediately jump ship every chance they get,

Noooo not 0-12 just 3-9. Have you seen our defense? My whole basis for this being the worst year is the defense. Offense is the same old thing. They'll put up some points inconsistently like always. But good god man, the defense is despicable.

On the money!!! Do I win the season prediction contest for this?

  10. We need some fire and one conference win in last years is unacceptable with the talent we have....

Dude, what talent are you talking about. There is NO talent on this D. They ALL suck assss. They sucked last year, they suck this year, and they will suck next year unless we get better recruts.

There's no talent on this D?

    S: Joyce/Jenkins - Mediocre, but servicable

CB: Webster/Baker - Webster will be drafted

LB: Cliett, Lattimore, Barrington - Lattimore and Barrington will be drafted

DL: Mims, Grissom, Sager, Giddins/Forte - Grissom will be drafted. One of the ends is usually serviceable (Mims).

I'm counting 4 starters on defense that'll probably be drafted. We're not deft of talent. The problem is, they're all Leavitt guys and Cliett is probably the only guy who fits in amongst Dede/Sam (Tashon may eventually).

If you think this D isn't talented, just wait for next year!

LB: Cliett, Lattimore, Barrington - Lattimore and Barrington will be drafted---Umm what about Lanaris LOL. Seriously though, guy is the starting MLB. He's killing this team and barely anyone seems to recognize it or care. (Not sure which one it is.)
