That was one of the most obvious holds I've ever seen to spring that run. Screw you refs

Temple sideline warning? Where the hell was our warning before you threw a flag on the sideline?

I think the defense is much better. I think the offense is in the process of clicking but probably needs some more time to learn the nuances of Gilbert's offense. Losing Mack and Adams was a blow.
Special teams issues have to be be fixable. It is not like our kickers suck, it is just blocking assignments. That being said, that needs to get corrected ASAP. Teams are going to go all out now trying to block kicks and punts.
Don't worry, we gave up those blocks intentionally to set up the fakes once we get to conference play. Strong playing the long con.

Is USF doing anything on Myspace?
Check CCS's top 8 for surprise recruits!

Football Scoop was the same one that said his sources laughed harder than he's heard in awhile when he reached out about Taggart being a possibility at Oregon, so I'll take this with a grain of salt.

Paying some defense tonight would be a good idea.
We haven't the rest of the year, why start now?

Nice contain, defense...

FIRST F***ING PLAY!!!

So Barr has terrible hands, but great knees.
-
These last couple week of watching USF football has actually been... fun? It's been awhile.
-
Barr has absolutely terrible hands.
-
Dammit, that's not a catch
-
That was just pathetic.
-
College football is so stupid... Just run with your helmet pointed toward any would-be tacklers and get everyone ejected
-
If they overturn this after letting Sanchez's his stand...
-
Targeting. Eject that SOB
-
I hope none of our opponents have a strong running back because we got nothing for that.
Doubt we're gonna see anything like Cook the rest of the season.
-
This is the longest down in history
-
These refs are absolutely clueless
-
Showing flashes of competence on offense, only to let it slip (literally) through our fingers. Frustrating.
-
Come on, man! A good pass and it bounces right off your hands.
-
AHHHH, Gotta hit that throw
-
That's for targeting. Look it up for unnecessary roughness/roughing.
Launching requires a hit to the head. Maybe you're the one who needs to look up the rules.
Launching. Look it up. It's roughing. Shouldn't have been targeting
He hit him in the chest after 1 step. BS call.
You can't go high on a QB while he's throwing. That's called everytimeShouldn't even have been roughing
Launch—a player leaving his feet to attack an opponent by an upward and forward thrust of the body to make contact in the head or neck area
• A crouch followed by an upward and forward thrust to attack with contact at the head or neck area, even though one or both feet are still on the ground
• Leading with helmet, forearm, fist, hand or elbow to attack with contact at the head or neck area
• Lowering the head before attacking by initiating contact with the crown of the helmet
You leave your feet like that on a QB who is in the act of throwing, it will always be called. The ejection was horsefeathers
That's literally the only place launching is defined in the rulebook. The roughing section is pretty vague and doesn't specify anything other than "No defensive player shall charge into a passer or throw him to the ground when it is obvious the ball has been thrown."
But I guess I shouldn't expect anything else from the NCAA, where nothing is ever clearly defined or applied consistently.
Also, I apologize for the hostility. Football does that to me.
