  1. We hit rock bottom when we hired a guy who's signature win was against North Texas State. BTW CSH blew that team out this week. CWT is not ready for true D1 football, but it will take us at least one more season to send him packing. Unfortunately my trip to Wisconsin is non-refundable

  2. You realize that This FCS powerhouse beat Elon in OT and Mars Hill ( whoever that is) last year. I know we all want to blame CSH for recruiting ,but was his recruiting only 5 points better than the worse team in FCS. If this had been McNeese State we would be putting up a "L", but will take the the win since we are now tied with FSU and BCC for best record in the state at 1-0. Go a Bulls!!!

  3. It was a close game... I think you take the 3 points. I don't trust these guys to execute a play.

Sadly, that's the most logical explanation for going for a field goal there. Just because our players can't get out of their own **** way.

I disagree with you, but unfortunately we've seen it too much.

Still, not a coaching mistake when guys can't do simple things right. Taking a snap is not something that needs to be coached, it's something the quarterback needs to be able to do.

Who snuck Matt Floyd into the lineup?

Yea, bad call because our guys can't execute.  That is too funny.  We should start punting on first down with that logic.

Well since the defense won two games it does make sense
  4.

SMU has one of the worst defenses in football.  And the offense couldn't score a point.

That's sad,  Scrap this offense.  How many touchdowns has the offense scored this year?

    Offensive TD's per game:

    McNeese State - 3 TD's

    Michigan State - 0 TD's

    FAU - 1 TD

    Miami - 2 TD's

    Cincy - 0 TD's

    UCONN - 0 TD's

    Louisville - 0 TD's

    Houston - 2 TD's

    Memphis - 1 TD

    SMU - 0 TD's

A grand total of 9 TD's through 10 games and 3 of them came against D-2 McNeese State. 6 TD's against D-1 competition in 9 games. Unacceptable.

Great summary of this season, only left out the part of the largest margin of defeat by a D2 school over a D1 in the history of college football. This team is 0-10 if our defense doesn't score touchdowns, end of story, and I doubt quality D1 Head Coaches ever game plan for their defense to score. I can't say I've seen any improvement as this season has dragged along and since I know we aren't allowed to talk about sending CWT packing and chalking this up to another experiment by Doug, so we need to just settle in for the long haul. I believe we will get better and win games, how can we not, we are now in what is essentially The Old Conference USA, which their record against BCS teams was 6 - 40 over the 2011 and 2012 season and given time CWT will eventually learn to Coach a D1 team. As for conference realignment I'm all for it, if we could slide into the newly realigned Conference USA, I think we can compete for a conference championship and a Bowl Game ( because that is where this Head Coach belongs with his experience). We may be able to cut our cost by no longer needing to lease RJ Stadium by add bleachers to the soccer field for the 15-20K core fans that will attend the games.  It's time to stop blaming Skip Holtz and CWT's inability to coach these athletes and agree this is a painful lesson when you don't hold the administration accountable for poor decisions and lack of foresight

  5. Ahem...Temple is 0-5 also. ;)

We have possibly 3 more wins, 2 toss ups(ucf, Houston) and one loss(UL), left.

    Wait...do we play temple?

Not a chance been to every game since the beginning 1 more win best case even if we had a QB (which we don't) there is no one that can catch a ball. This team has better than average RB's but a passing game that is average high school at best. CWT does nothing for me

you said the same thing last week

Well I guess it's possible to win more games without the offense scoring a TD ........

    keep saying it

  6. Jesus christ are you going around and disagreeing with all my posts? lol I mean you are more than welcome to do so.  I am just trying to see the positive.  I agree we played horribly, especially on offense.  I am just saying that anyone can have a bad day. As for receivers, they are all capable to catch the ball.  Bravo-Brown and Hopkins messed up big the past two games but big Mike has hands and we know Andre has the ability but for some reason it appears he has no drive.  Even still he got two pretty important 1st downs towards the end of the game.  Gonzalez had a nice catch.  The problem is more with QB not the WR.  So yeah, I think Dan Marino would do wonders for this program, shoot even at 52.

I'm positive at least we only had one TD dropped today, just hoping our defense doesn't have to score all of our TD's the rest of the year hey a W is all I wanted it's Baby Steps this year

  7. Okay, I can live with that

Thanks not trying to be negative but a lot of pressure living in Orlando as you well know ....... Win the UCF game

Fortunately for me, my friends that are UCF fans are pretty cool.  And I'm a big guy, so when I go out in USF gear (I live near UCF), I get dirty looks, but no one says anything.

Good call and if need to remind them it's only a rivalry when they win a game ........ Go Bulls

  8. how many losses by last minute field goals did we have last season?

this year Taggs is WINNING these games.

is it pretty?  no. but they are W's, and they are in-conference where it matters most.

it took Taggart 4 losses to find something that worked, ugly or otherwise... but only 2 of those games (McNeese, FAU) were absolutely putrid, the other 2 were either expected beatdowns (Miami) or competitive games (MichState) against much better "Big 5" conference teams.

now he is finding ways to win, even if the players can't get into the endzone, even with starting QB and RB sitting out, and despite the hideous atrocity that is Bobby Eveld's quarterbacking.

it's still far too soon to crown Willie savior of a floundering program-- 2 wins does not a "turnaround" make, but there is definite improvement with this team and there is a glimmer of light at the tunnel that maybe the skid of successively horrifying seasons for this program has ended.

Really we some because somehow UConn dropped two TD's zero improvement from last year CWT is not the answer

LOL .... Only 6 games in, with one short recruiting season but we know CWT is not the answer. God bless some of our fans.

Haha. God bless them is right! These aren't his players pcaramal. Give him a break. If things don't continue to get better and at the end of next season we're still watching this kind of football then the skepticism is fair but right now it's not.

That's fair hey always a huge fan just frustrated by everyone blaming CSH

  9. If our defense tightens up and plays well like they did at the end of the game today and we have all of our key players back like Bench and Shaw then I don't think we will see a performance as bad as todays when we play UofL.  Teddy B did not look that hot when they were playing Rutgers so they are definitely vulnerable.  If Eveld plays, we lose the game.  Plain and simple.  Their defense was what impressed me, not so much their QB play.  We need someone who wont panic and that can somewhat scramble.  Realistically, any team in this conference can be beat.  Let's see how much these wins will affect the players' game

We're you in the brown liquor today, USF is not in the Ville class, if Dan Marino plays for USF we have no receivers that can or want to catch the ball 1 maybe 2 more wins this season only because of Kloss. Not a good sign when your kicker is your best offensive player. Congrats to Kloss on another solid day and the D is making progress

Is everyone of your 34 posts like this and will all future ones be also?  That way I know just to skip ready them.

Just calling it like I it is credit to the D and Kloss the rest of the team is playing at D 2 level

  10. ...obviously it will take an enormous amount of luck if we play the way we did against UConn. The fact that UConn's receivers & DBs couldn't catch anything had alot to do with us winning. We left guys open, they just couldn't execute the throw and catch. Eveld was hitting UConn defenders in the hands, they just could not catch. Early in that game it seemed that if Eveld couldn't find a receiver in .5 seconds, he would immediately panic (whether there was pressure or not) and just take off running in some random direction. Zero pocket presence. That has to be one of the poorest performances by any team ever that produced a W, but I'll take it.

Yup luckily only a few people saw the game so the W feels good
