That is a blast from the past. I read a lot on here, but hardly post. As soon as I read this, I had to show my wife. We're both USF grads, and apparently sat about 2-3 rows behind the Sheriff and the straw hat with horns guy for a majority of the basketball games we went to.
The build up to that game was awesome. Even better was watching anyone walking by Greenbergopolis in Orange and Blue getting pelted by bagels.
Side note, we still joke about number 5 from Angola that had the masking tape jersey.

Yes, the season can be salvaged. UCONN in 2010 started out 3-4 with a loss to Temple, and 0-2 in conference play. They ended up in the Fiesta Bowl. It's a long shot, but it can happen.
