  1. I used to ride when I was in Florida.  I rode with a group and we had vests and patches, you may want to research a little about the effects of that among other vested clubs.  There is an alliance in Tampa for all the MC's, and regardless of your goal you do need to respect there views, as some of them take it very serious.

There is a difference between MC and RC, do a little research, talk to people on tampasportbikes there are a decent amount of alums and current students

MC's ignore both RC's and MRC's... they ignore them since (1) RC's/MRC's are family orientated coed groups that don't claim turf or territory, (2) have a one or two piece patch, and (3) don't have a bottom rocker. MC's are mostly gender or race specific, claim territory, and have a three piece patch.

The patch design I worked up is a one piece patch. A 3 piece patch is when you have a top rocker, a middle logo, and a bottom rocker.

The club I'm trying to start would be a social coed group that would just be for fun... the only requirement would be that members would have to buy a patch, and be part of USF in some way or another (alumni, grad, donor, season ticket holder, etc.). Other then that members would be free to get involved as much as they would want to get involved.

Figure once a year or twice a year we could hold an event at Bike Week or something to beer it up and par-tay.

  2. I'm thinking about starting a Bulls Motorcycle Riding Club for those of us that ride bikes. It will be geared towards Alumni and friends of USF vs. students since students already have their own bike club.

I need between 6-9 founding members to afford the cost of getting custom patches created. I'm kicking a name around for the group and right now it will either be called the "Brahmans Motorcycle Riding Club" or the "Bulls Motorcycle Riding Club".

Here is a logo for the proposed group with the Brahman variant design.

    Any takers?

  3. This name is horrible... its basically CUSA 2.0

What I find funny is that the new conference was told by us the fans, and the sports media that the American 12 was a stupid name and that we need a better name. Aresco admitted as much in a press release.

So these brilliant minds go back to the conference super secret underground war room and hammer out the American Athletic Conference... how in the hell is this any different from the American 12 Conference name?

This has to be the worst conference name... AAC sounds like the name that Kathy makes in the comic strip when she gets angry.

  4. "League officials have discussed a multisite, rotational bowl partnership of the SEC, Big 12, Big Ten and ACC to maximize matchups over six years, according to two sources with knowledge of those discussions."

"The Music City Bowl in Nashville, Belk Bowl in Charlotte and Alamo Bowl in San Antonio are among the sites being mentioned."

To me, this is just more evidence that the 'power 5' are going to control everything of value in CFB. Granted it's not the 'greatest' bowl by any means, but what about the Pinstripe Bowl? Given where the vast majority of our teams are now geographically located, with only UConn and Temple being close by, who else can see the bowl going to the B10 (Rutgers, Penn St., Maryland & possibly Virginia) & the ACC after our contract expires?

I don't know, I could see the Russell Athletic Bowl switching allegiances sooner or later as well. Orlando would be a great consolation prize for 'power 5' fans who wont be traveling to a marque bowl.

As the 'power 5' conferences continue to expand, they should have enough teams to fill the spots. Imagine being able to offer almost all the teams in your conference a bowl bid of one sort or other. It might not be the sexiest matchup and you might not get great attendance to all of them, but you will take the payout for the bowl and add that to your conference's coffer as well, not to mention more t.v. exposure for practically all of your teams and the extra practices that come along with it. ESPN who owns the majority of these bowls certainly would mind this either, I would think.

By my count, that leaves us with potentially only 3 bowls (Beef O' Brady's, the Compass and the Liberty). Follow my logic here, if the 'power 5' gets wrapped up and starts playing their teams exclusively in their bowls, does anybody else see our bowl opponents becoming more ridiculous? I think the 'power 5' will laugh at sending any teams to St. Petersburg, Birmingham or Memphis. Maybe we pick up the R&L Carriers, Military (if we can hold onto Navy) and Independence bowls? I don't know.

Who will the opponents to these games be? CUSA? Sun Belt? MAC? What do you think the payoffs for these games will be? Either way, get ready for AXII's bowl season to be over by Christmas.

Sorry to be a downer. But this is what I'm thinking our future. I would prefer to just dump the bowl concept and just go to a Championship Series with MWC, C-USA and the MAC. Each of our best teams playing one another with home field advantage to boost money and help attendance followed by a championship game in a neutral location. Sell the concept to the highest bidder. The AXII is going to be laughed at and locked out eventually anyways, we might as well do something different.

I am ready for the onslaught of people telling me I am completely wrong and ridiculous for suggesting this (again).

The Big10 can have the Pinstripe Bowl... that bowl is ****.

Now losing the Belk Bowl would hurt.

  5. First off, I attended both games against UCF (2006 & 2008) and their fans are quite possibly the worst ever.  If you want to go, good luck.  I am on their Rivals board a LOT and I would consider some of them to be my "internet friends" but I will never step foot on their campus again.

That being said, my wife and I parked near the College of Education.  They left that building open so we could use the bathroom there.  Very nice!!!

I'm debating on either doing the UCF roadie, or the SMU roadie... but I don't think that we will be going to SMU next year so it might be UCF by default.

  6. I just learned that if you get a new affinity debit or credit card through the USF Credit Union then you get a free Alumni membership, and just by getting the card it supports the AA.

Win-Win... free membership for you, and the alumni gets a membership boost. This is a good way for those that can't support the University with big donations, to support the Alumni Assoc.

  7.

This is more SKip Holtz ****... we need to win on the field and **** the classrooms. I don't pay $$ to see these kids take tests, and they did not spend the past 10 years of their lives getting in shape and building football talent to be Rhodes scholars either.

In end what does it really matter... the majority of student atheltes are either communications or criminal justice majors in the end.

  8. It's not about where you've been, but where you're going.

I believe this list will contain more USF commits in the future. Taggart has proven he is the man to make that happen.

I like Taggart, but he has not proved anything yet!!!! Let the man Coach a game before you declare him the savior.

Amen... just because he is not SKip does not make him a football god yet...

There is a huge difference between USF football, and WKU football.

  9. Petrino has been contacted by and has contacted Arkansas State??

Where the **** is doug and judy at? Petrino is a top level coach...

    http://www.sbnation....coaching-search

Why can't you understand? There was no way USF was going to hire Petrino

I think he can't understand why USF would pass on a big time coach like Petrino for another low level coach...

    Petrino >>>>>> Taggart
