  1. Jimbo is having a great recruiting class and he is all for the move to the B12.

    Link?

Fact, (his family is stating it here in good ole WV, yes he is from Clarksburg, WV ~40 minutes south of Morgantown) and their is articles in which he expressed his comments.

So there are articles up there saying they're moving to the Big 12 and he's all for it. Let me try this again ............. link?

no - ewe got it awl rong. he sed "their is " articles.

  2. FSU and the Big 12 have been talking for several months.

WVU and FSU admins and family is very close. Alot has happened but FSU and Big 12 has not directly talked yet, indirectly yes.

Could you please learn how to speak correctly, at least when you're typing? You don't need to reinforce the stereotypes about our school/state.

It's "weren't you" not "wasn't you" (from an earlier post of yours)

It's "FSU and B12 have not directly..", not "has not directly"

Also, making any absolute guarantees in any of this reallignment crap is a moronic thing to do.

Are there negotiations going on? Seems likely. Anything a done deal? Seems unlikely at this point. None of us knows anything for sure. If it does come to pass, so be it. But neither you nor I nor realistically anyone else on these internet boards "knows" what's going to happen.

  3. This all goes to the fact that USF isn't an AAU institution yet. You'd have to believe that we will be soon with all of the research dollars that come pouring into here and the great business school we have. The median freshman student admitted to USF has a 3.5-4.1 GPA and scores between a 1620-1910 (out of 2400) on the SAT. The average score on the SAT nationwide is a 1538. So in reality we are actually on par with UF & FSU in regards to freshman admissions. Not sure what the ACC schools require because I don't feel like doing the research, but I can't believe their requirements are that much more higher than ours.

I wouldnt count on that membership anytime soon, if ever, if I were you. The AAU is a private organization, admittance is by invitation only.

There are a lot of schools out there that have impressive resumes that have existed a lot longer than USF that I would think would get consideration long before USF did. The AAU is old school money, USF is the nouveau riche.

And the AAU wants to continue to remain exclusive, it is not necessarily looking to add members. What is the point of an exclusive and prestigious group if anyone can get into it?

  4. Doubt either team moves, B-12 does not offer anything more than the ACC.

i doubt either moves either, but the B12 contact is about 20~21 million per school (plus each school keeps their tier 3 rights to market as they see fit), the ACC is still trying to renegotiate with ESPN to up the per team ante - my guess is it wont be more than 18 million per team as Pitt and SU arent that valuable to up the ante 7-8 million per school (and including signing away tier 3 rights to ACC).

There is a difference in what each has to offer.
