  1. I mean you guys wanted a ground and pound offense. You got a coach to come in and try to change everything. Now you guys understand we can't run this offense and succeed. I tried saying it from the beginning. He did get us our first 1,000 yard rusher in awhile. You all wanted that. I really don't understand what you guys expected. We were HORRIBLE. We still are. He is not a magician and it doesn't help with a complete overhaul. He has atleast is teaching our kids how to run a real offense. It isn't their fault they are not good enough to execute it and block for it. I would love a coach that would make it all go away and make it easy where big time players would line up to come play. We are unfortunately trying to climb out of a very deep hole. I wouldn't blame tags for this and I knew we wouldn't make any real progress till year 4 or 5. It takes that long. It doesn't take a year or two. Its a process and if you think bringing in a new coach is going to take us from 4-7 wins your foolish. Let's just start all over again with a new coach and learn a new offense and a new defense and make the kids get used to a new coach. Try having a little faith.

I said the type of coach we should have went after. Kingsbury or whatever his name is at Texas Tech. Air it our and spread it out. Running based off  an air assault. That is what we get in florida. That is who we recruit. We should be trying to score 50 and give up 35-40. That's just my opinion.

  2. If you want my honest opinion he is trying to limit flowers throwing the ball but watch his high school tape. The guy has no problem throwing the ball. I just think he wants him to get some reps get used to being out there and add a mobile factor to this year if it would work but next year I think Flowers starts and I think he will be able to make the throws.

Fact is...We need an Aaron Murray to stay home and make this offense what it is intended to be. Run/Playaction where you can hit check downs or you add the mobile  threat to it because Mike White is so afraid to turn the ball over he just runs away and throws it away now. I'd like to see flowers with a wide open 100% ready and see what he brings. He cant just come in to run.

2-3 Game changing plays missed in memphis game the announcers recalled and replayed which were wide open big plays/first downs white never even gave it a thought.

  3. Were going to Have Coach Taggart for atleast 4 years. You cannot think our program can afford to replace a coach again so quickly. We will allow this guy to build this program. If cannot then he can go. He will need to land some big recruits in the form of offensive lineman and a qb who can succeed even with a poor team. We need that ONE kid to say I'm staying. Love the young guys playing.

  4. lmao he was going to get destroyed on that pass..and it wasn't even for a first down since it was a 4th down play I believe...it was horrible..you guys are being so critical of someone who is not a reason why we have lost games. You guys wanted BJ Daniels benched for Flloyd last year. You guys are clueless. Cant get our wr the ball in space cause our offense sucks and you want to blame the kid. It is not Davis fault and calling for him to be benched is a horrible idea.

  5. The kid is frustrated he went from BJ DANIELS..who couldn't get him the ball enough and got him the ball a decent amount...TO NEVER BEING ABLE TO HAVE A GOOD GAME AGAIN AT USF!!! One of the most talented players ever to come through usf being wasted. I'd get a little frustrated too which looks like what Willie pulled him off to the side about after eveld threw a pass that hung him out to dry and get smashed... Give him a break. He isn't taking plays off.

  6. Which is why we tend to run the SPREAD..spread and shotgun help to hide the fact your oline is weak by spreading out the defense. I mean We cannot abandon the spread if we want to have success this year but it will take 3-4 years to install his offense and to get his players in. Unfortunately bulls fans wont last that long. You guys asked for pro style...you got it!! hope your happy...

  7. guys every high school kid and college kid taken before he graduates gets money for the cost of college. How it works is say you sign for x amount of money in bonus money. That money is yours to keep and comes in the way of two checks split over two different tax periods. The college money is a predetermined amount based on the college you were attending or going to attend. The money designated for college cannot be collected. If you decide not to go to school you do not get the money. You have to send receipts for every thing you pay for and then they will send you a check and pay you back for your expenses. If you don't get 300,000 or more of an offer I wouldn't consider it out of high school but everyone is different.

  8. are some of you kidding? Its all about competition..TRICKETT..is a viable option and just happens to look like a better throwing version of grothe. Grothe had a lot more intangibles that we got to see but lets give this a serious thought here. TRICKETT can throw the football really well. He would fit in this offense pretty well. I would take him in a heartbeat. If he started Id say were for sure going bowling with a much better chance to win the big east. Your obvious backup would be white but if its not working out you go to white.

  9. Haha I watch him play. Im just telling you he is s great high school player but I don't think his stuff is top 10 out of high school. He was around 85-86...now he is more like 88-89 I think he hit 90 the other day but to be honest it doesn't have the life you would expect. I see him passing on anywhere from 11-25 round offers that he could very likely get. The reason why your hearing top 10 is because in order for him to sign a contract for baseball he would have to be taken high enough for it to make a difference. I honestly don't see a scout taking him that high knowing you don't have a realistic shot at him foregoing college football.

The comparison. I played against Jeff Smarjdjsajsdja as well...He threw 95 from 3qtr arm slot with sick movement and  with sick offspeed. I wouldn't compare him and mike white.

Another thing if you guys know anything about high school baseball at the moment its that STATS do not mean anything. High School coaches keep the stats and very few are legit when keeping their stats. They don't report correct stats and make sure their players have under 1 eras all the time. At one point Mikes school lost 22-0 and 10-0 and somehow everyone still had very good eras. Shoot the amount of total runs given up didn't match up to their own record. So I wouldn't look to much into stats. Scouts see them in person and form their opinions. So many guys have incredible stats and you see them and your like wow that's not possible. Mike is a great pitcher though and has tremendous potential but I don't see his stuff in the top 10 nor him passing up this opportunity.

    • I always felt my years I underachieved and so did the team. I did not put it on the coaches. I felt I had one of the better pitching coaches and I just did not get the job done. They need to recruit more of south florida. There are some really talented kids down here. I coach high school now and I would love to see more kids wind up at USF.
