  1. the time will come in another 3 to 5 years for expansion.  What you need to do is stop the Sentinel from inciting people.  I swear they are a wolf in sheeps clothing for UCF.  Now they're beating a drum about UCF deserving to be in the BE.  Certainly an argument can be made to that effect, but it also isn't wise to throw off such arrogance about it either.  Especially when the sentinel, and Andrea Adelson, doesn't even contemplate BE Hoops in her discussions.  She sounds so stupid, like a general fan, I feel sad for her publishing drivel like that.   She talks about the television deal for the BE, but ignores the fact their hoops deals with CBS, ESPN/ABC, and Raycon, net the BE nearly $50M a year in revenue and collective are for 5-7 years and nets nearly $600M when added to the football deal.  Not quite the SEC $2.25B, but that was signed last year, and that includes hoops and football.

If she was aware, the reason we sit at 8 has nothing to do with ignorance, or arrogance.  It has everything to do with the hoops schools not allowing expansion.  IF, they had allowed it UCF would have already been a 'football only' member long ago.  It was veto'd, and so was the idea of adding anyone else.  The only type of reasoning the hoops teams will listen to is if a unbelievably compelling team was brought to the table thus the suggestions of Maryland, BC, and ND continued to get bantied about.

UCF will be in, but it's better for the Sentinel to stop acting arrogant about it, and inciting the wrong people...the type of people who could choose an ECU, or Memphis, or add back a Temple if it so chose when the time came.  UCF is working their angles I am sure, and it's a subtle play not something that should be blared through the tree tops.  I think goodknightfl would agree with me on this.  Give it time and within 3 or so years you'll be there.

    spot on

you have more sense about ucf than just about everyone on ucfsports.com  ???

  2. More than 200 people watched practice and the crowd swelled as players moved into the stadium to sign autographs and pose for pictures at UCF's Fan Day.
