  1. Maybe I'm reading too much into the picture, but I think if T-Mac is hanging with Father Ben...T-Mac will more than likely be penciled in as starter for the opener. Man this is crazy, I wonder where Donte Spires, C Hill, and my sleeper......Charlton Sinclair are going to fit in the picture. I think Sinclair could will be seeing a lot of action this season, him and Claude Davis.

  2. 1.  Where do you see the football team in 5 years on a national level?

    A consistent top 20 program

    2.  Are you going to be at the Red on Tuesday when we beat UCiF?

No, it's SarbOx season at my job....fun fun fun

    3.  What football away games are you planning to go to?

    FAU, Auburn and Rutgers (overrated)

    4.  Will DW get it done and hire Stan Heath?

No. We will hire an assistant coach from a strong program.

    5.  What would your at-bat music be?

    2pac - My Ambitionz az a Ridah

  3. After reading the ESPN article on WVU's Slaton and White, I noticed that USF's name was peppered throughout the comment section regarding how USF was LUCKY to win that game at WVU last year. I simply added that it was not luck, but the play of a strong defense coupled with our O taking advantage of the TOs. Some guy did make a valid point (as much as I want to disagree with him)...........

"South Florida came to play that day and West Virginia didn't. Simple as that. South Florida played about as good as they could have on the road, and West Virginia thought they'd win by just jogging out onto the field. South Florida has pulled 2 major upsets in the past 2 years, but they've also had a few losses to less-than-good teams as well. Come on South Florida. Losing to Kansas who was 6-6 and 3-5 in the weak Big 12? Getting stomped by Cincy? (I know Cincy was pretty decent this year, but it's not like they were even flirting with the rankings. They weren't THAT good.) How about last year. Losing to friggin' Connecticut? Come on. Losing to a Pitt team that wasn't even in a bowl? Come on. Or getting blanked by NC State? BLANKED? Come ON. South Florida has pulled a few upsets, but that's exactly what they were. Upsets. We call them upsets because the team that's truly better didn't prevail. South Florida seems to be on the rise, which is good for the Big East, but let's not blow artificial smoke up their rear ends. South Florida is a decent team that could very well break into the rankings this year. Until that happens, though, I'd say Bull fans need to tone down the rhetoric. You have a decent team, but truly there's nothing to be cocky about. Try to at least break into the rankings or even finish 2nd in the Big East before you tell everybody how great your team is."

He's right. If we want respect, we must beat marginal teams. But I think we already know this.

  4. We've courted Marshall for a little under a week and this guy has shown marginal interest in our program. If he wanted to coach USF I think he would of made more of an effort to do so. Any coach that uses us as a "Plan B" should not coach at USF. This act shows the amount of desire the coach has for the program. This seems like the type of coach that will bolt the minute something bigger comes along. Regardless of the truth to this article, he is not my first choice anymore. I admire Pete Gillen's desire to coach USF. With limited resources, facilities and such we need a coach that will show dedication to the program no matter the circumstances.

    Pete Gillen

    Tommy Amaker

    Steve Lowry

Despite the conditions involved, Steve Alford had no issues or "let's wait and see what blows over problems" in signing with UNM.

  5. 4 elite eights and a national championship in 10yrs and the guy leaves to avoid losing his job...That's dedication to excellence.

That's absurd. Although Tubby could have done better in conference play, 4 elite eights, and a championship is nothing to dismiss. Basketball is a different type of animal. You'll be hard-pressed to find dominant players who are willing to play 3-4 years in a program...majority of the basketball coaches just cant graduate a strong class and re-load the next year. Who does Billy Donovan have for next year? Not convinced? Look at Krzyzewski. He lost McRoberts today. Duke is looking really paltry right about now. Michigan State? UCONN? UK fans are really ungrateful. And the SEC is eons better today than in 90's...The UK fans need to get off that glass pipe.

  6. <----Anti-Gator. See my dislike of the gators comes from the constant reminder of how great the school is from co-workers. I stopped drinking gatorade because of them.

Beyond my dislike for the gators, I really think there are better options out there than Anthony Grant. We do not need that guy. We need someone with a PROVEN track record. Grant's a first year coach. I want to see someone who has put some years in with a school. Not some young guy fresh off AHC street....especially if he's a Gator. IMO, Amaker, Miller, Doherty, and Marshall would be a great fit for USF. My top pick would be Miller or Amaker.

P.S. I feel it's important that we disassociate this program away from coaches with gator ties. We do not need to have our program "raised" by gators.

  7. 620 is by far the worst radio station I've heard.

Tony Bruno is light years better than Rome. It's annoying to listen to Rome and his clones. What annoys me is when the callers speak in obscure analogies and alliteration to sports...the smackoff.....on top of that, he dogged USF pretty bad. He said something to the effect of, you know Alabama is pretty bad when the coach of the University of Southern Freakin Florida won't even interview for bama. Ever since I heard that i decided to NEVER NEVER NEVER listen to that guy.

Sileo is all about the yankees, bucs, and miami. When sileo talks about usf, it comes straight from he HAPPENED to read that day. Sileo has no solid knowledge of our program.

  8. Woolard is the best thing to happen to USF Athletics.....next to Jim Leavitt. Woolard said that we are comitted to building a bball program and I believe him. I think DW wants to hire a coach from the tourney so that coach can transfer some of that tourney experience and momentum over to our program....as well as a proven winning record over time, ability to recruit in bball hotbeds, disciplinarian, and energetic.

I WANT TO SEE SOME PHYSICAL BBALL. Aside from Gransberry, we have not played any physical bball in years.
