  1. Mike, that is what I thought too.

When the show started and ended, it had the traditional infomercial pre and post message (ie. the following is a paid program and doesn't represent the views of MOR...). It was also between two infomercials.

Seeing as it seems USF puts the whole show together, I suspect they just bought paid programming time slot and slapped it in.

I realize we have fallen pretty hard, but that was pretty eye opening (as was being relegated to MOR).

But, I will say, Id rather have a show than no show at all. Also, the show was the best one I've seen put together IMO.

  2. I hope we get to see some of Mike White during the first half of the year, in mop up duty (whether up or down), like BJ in 2008.

I believe he can still redshirt as long as he doesn't play more than 30% of the time in the first half of the season.

Nope, one snap and his redshirt is gone (barring injury)

So BJ got a medical redshirt in 08?

That's what confused me, because he played in mop up duty in '08 at NCState.. His stats were 4 of 5 for 86 yards.

    Gotcha, mixed with medical redshirt.

  4. Floyd played horribly, but no quarterback could have won the game with the way our defense played last night.

I have never seen a USF defense get blown off the ball the way we did last night. I mean, we knew what they were going to do and we still couldn't stop them.

Don't get me wrong, we got destroyed in every phase of the game; but, the first changes need to happen on the defensive side of the ball. Talent and coaching seemed lacking, might be a short stint for Bresnahan (sp?)

  5. Vikings waived LB Tyrone McKenzie.

The 97th overall pick in the 2009 draft, McKenzie has flatlined as a special teamer only in the league. He never made a run at defensive playing time.

Never recovered, it seems, after blowing out his knee.

Very proud of Kion. He looked really good for the Steelers.

  6. I agree with Trip. It was the other way around. You can see that in 2009 with BJ (and previous with Matt G). I think it was just a difference of philosophy. We didn't really attack the middle of the field, which in college should be a focal point. I think it will be something we see moving forward, using quick hit routes with big TEs.

While it was something I had a huge gripe with the old coach, you could see that most teams we played stacked the box or played the edges of the box, forcing us outside on one on one coverages.
