For as sloppy as this team has looked, only being down by 3 isn't that bad.

He hit him in the hip. Where are you supposed to hit the QB?
You can't really hit them anymore, just ask them politely to stop trying to succeed.

I'm really broke these days. Is there any chance that there will be contests to *win* a trip to a Bulls bowl game?

Hey all,
this is my first post here - i'm a senior and very excited about this season, especially after the bad taste left in my mouth by that last game w/ Pittsburgh. Ugh.
Anyway, I found this item on Collegefootballtalk.com - I thought someone had already posted or started a topic about it, but it doesn't appear so.
Anyway, here is a copy and paste of the write-up. It's pretty interesting stuff.
I can't wait for Saturday! Go Bulls!
=====================
THE GENIUS OF USF HEAD COACH JIM LEAVITT
The University of South Florida (USF) will definitely find the going rough in their inaugural Big East season. Their current roster is devoid of experienced talent and they'll be lucky to finish 4-7. So why are we praising their head coach?
Because we're gonna keep an eye on this program for 2006 and beyond. They've done an amazing job of stockpiling blue chip transfers, becoming the wayward home for unhappy state of Florida recruits. Four transfers have committed to 'da Bulls in the past two months: CB Ryan Gilliam (Oregon), WR Amp Hill (LSU), DE Maurice Charles (NCSU) and QB Grant Gregory (Indiana).
We fully expect most, if not all, of these players to play significant roles within the South Florida program next year. We chronicled the loss of twenty scholarship players from last year's roster before their eligibility was up -- and wondered what the hell was going on.
Now we understand. With the move to a BCS conference, the Bulls need to sign blue chippers in order to succeed. But going up against the Big Three (FSU, Miami & UF), not to mention every other major program, for Florida high school players is a losing proposition. So what's an enterprising young head coach to do?
How about clearing your roster of some dead weight (mid-major conference recruits), take a year or two of ass whippings and invite every homesick blue chip recruit to come play in Tampa (much nearer to momma). In our estimation, Jim Leavitt has cut down USF's "competitive timeframe" from 5 years or more, perhaps many more -- just ask The University of Central Florida (UCF), to 2 or possibly 3 seasons maximum. (Hell, in the Big Least USF could be contending for a big $$$$$ bowl game next year.)
Genius, pure [Expletive] genius.

I'm thinking they drop out, deservedly so, but I guess it comes down to tomorrow's games.
