  1. Yeah the city has produced some great players of late AND Petrino is doing a great job keeping them at home.

It is supposed to be around 30-35 at kickoff on Sat and could drop into the 20s.  About the same as the WV game I guess.  The players dont really get to cold but us poor fans just sit and shiver!  As long as it doesnt rain its bearable.

I hope our fans treat you guys as well as we were treated in Tampa.  Generally that is the case but every group has its black sheep.  Your fan base was very friendly to us.  Even the UF fans that we spoke with at some bar/restaurant before the game were nice enough although somewhat smug.  Us newbies just dont get the respect we deserve huh?  I guess we'll just have to earn it the hard way.  That is if we can talk them into playing us.  Chickens.

I have a bit of a grudge against them because they were our loudest critics before we lost to Rutgers.  Obviously they had something to gain from it but it still rubbed many UofL fans the wrong way.  Besides, they share conferences with Kentucky.  That alone is reason enough!

  2. Makes sense.  We have alot of players from Fla.

Dress warm!!   I hope the weather improves some for the game and the weekend because it is awful right now.  Cold rain.

BTW- Despite the beat down last year most UofL fans, including myself, respect and like the Bulls.  I always cheer for your team whenever I see them on TV.  I enjoyed being at the game last year (except the outcome of course :o) and plan to always go to road games in Tampa.  Too many UF fans down there though. ;)

I have some very close friends that live there and have made MANY trips to the area.  Tampa - St Pete is just a great place.  Enjoy your trip and GO Bulls!! (except Sat)

  3. UOfL is a solid 14 points better at home than on the road.  The lone exception was the Cincy game.  I will be cold but I dont know if that is really a factor unless you're sitting in the stands. :-[

I am unsure on this spread too though.  I was in Tampa last year and saw what can happen if you dont bring it every week.

Looking forward to it.  Lets have a good clean game with NO INJURIES.

  4. Well, would you prefer to be beaked?  IS that even a real verb?

Actually the teeth are to make the normally docile Ky Cardinal look a little meaner.  They are square so that we can slowly GRIND you Bulls and Slush Poopies into submission.  Sharp teeth would be to quick and we'd just make a mess of ya.

AS for the yellowish hue,  UofL has a very good and quite large Dental school and I'll have to let them know that the current and upcoming diet of large furry mammals is starting to stain the birds dentures.

See you on our dinner table boys!

  5. OK OK enough with the teeth talk here.  You can say all you want about the idiotic pUKe fans of the CommonpUKe of Kensucky just leave the hilljack jokes to those not from Louisville.  We are a bit different here.  Most of us dont even have an accent.  We are more midwestern and less Beverly hillbilly.  I'm sure just mentioning a dentist office to a group in Eastern Ky would get you blank stares in return.

AS for that Slush puppy of DWs, we'll see just how ferocious he is soon enough.

One question though.  What the H is that Jonathon thing?

  6. It seems that my friend DW is over here ruffling feathers.  His quote: UofL and Cincy doesnt impress me but PITT does. HMMM.

UofL vs UCONN all time UofL leads 1-0 with a 41-22 drumming.  UofL vs USF is 1-1 with the last game a pretty solid beating of the Bulls.  I know because I was there.  But here is where it gets interesting.  UofL vs Pitt 4-4 with UofL winning the last 4.  Now that is impressive right DW?  Or how about UofL vs BC at 3-3 all time?

The year that USF beat UofL was a strange one for us.  Very up and down but still we had a pretty good team.  USF kept us off balance for the entire game with a mix of option and drop back passing.  They were tough that season.
